I have a long and complex relationship with The Pie. Growing up close by in slc my friends and I came as teenagers all the time was fun. Here is what I think these days. Pizza is very greasy and bland. I just ordered the “spicy Thai pasta” my mistake, I know, and it looks and tastes like something my 7 year old daughter opened a bunch of cans and threw together and heated up. I also asked for delivery, and was told my order was too small so they couldn’t deliver. So I said okay, just make it $20 total, and give the rest as tip. “No. We can’t do that.” Okay. So I went up picked the slop up. Save yourself some time and go to some bad chain restaurant. Workers are also glib and sort of rude, which I get, they work at a pizza store. But the pie, you could’ve done me better.

The hotel we were staying at recommended this place, and I can see why. A bit pricy, but well worth it. It cost 30 dollars (we got the extra large, cheese with double pepperoni and a two liter soda, and it gave two of us two meals apiece, plus leftovers for one reakfast) The crust was handmade, and very sturdy. One slice (we got the extra large) can fill you up. I had my teenager with me and he could only eat a half a pizza (normally he eats a whole pizza). The pizza was still hot when it was delivered to us at our hotel, but still cool enough that we could eat it immediately and not feel like we were eating lava. The cheese was melty and plentiful. There were plenty of pepperoni - some in every single bite. I would definitely try this company again.

I have lived in Salt Lake most of my life and somehow I've never eaten at The Pie until the other night. I had just dropped my mother off at the emergency room and realized I hadn't eaten anything all day and ran back to the pie takeout got a chicken bacon and I can think of only one pizza in New York that was better than this pizza.PS... Mom is okay.

Food is fine. Service ranges from great to oddly tiresome. Girl on the phone took my order and didn't say how much it was before processing the payment. I asked for the student discount and she not only said there was "nothing she could do now that its gone through" but was really strangely adamant on denying that she didn't read the price. I was really more confused than mad so not sure why it was a big issue.Honestly not a big deal at all that she didn't read the payment as well. Happens all the time and it really doesn't matter that much. Just becomes a problem when they deny it so much and say there's nothing they can do even though some guy fixed it in like 2 seconds after she put me on hold out of nowhere without saying anything. Nothing against the person personally, I'm sure there are tough nights and she seemed short with things from the beginning of the call so i get that it gets rough and things were probably just busy. But when it comes to spending some hard earned money, it can get just a bit annoying when it becomes a nuisance to even pay the proper price.

It has been many years since I last went to the Pie, but it is easily the best pizza I've had in a long time. Plus, great pricing too.

The Pie Pizzeria lives up to its hype! Wow! Talk about excellent pizza!!I stopped in, having heard it's "the" place to get pizza if you're in SLC. I happened to be at the U of U hospital for a doctor's visit, so I thought I'd look them up. Turns out, I was just a few minutes away! The establishment looks like a hole-in-the-wall joint, but when you step inside you realize the outside is just part of the amazing charm of this place. Now, so you know, I was in the take-out side. The other half is The Pie Underground, which I hear is equally amazing!!The take-out walls are lined with pictures of celebrities and allocades from a *very* wide collection of critics, newspapers and magazines extolling the virtues and deliciousness of The Pie Pizzeria's excellence.I told the gentleman taking my order that this was my first time coming in, and to please recommend something. He promptly recommended their top 3 choices, describing each of them in a fashion that made my mouth water.I chose The Pie's Combo, a fantastic assortment of The Pie's favorite toppings: Smoked ham, pepperoni, Italian sausage, beef, Genoa salami, Linguica sausage, fresh mushrooms onions, green peppers, and *amazing*, super-fresh Mozzarella cheese. And I WAS NOT disappointed!! A hot, cheesy, bubbly, eye-candy, mouth-watering, deeelishious-smelling pizza was presented to me. I wanted to sit right down in the lobby and eat a slice right there!!However, I made it to my car, whereupon I promptly opened my treasure box and gobbled down 2 slices! I finally gained my composure and decided to take my time on the 3rd slice.Heaven on earth, folks! Fresh, super-tasty, 3-foot Mozzarella stringy pizza slowly, bite-by-bite, passed my lips onto my feast-ready tongue. Fast or slow, this pizza delivers!!Yep! The hype's legit! GREAT pizza - fresh, hot, cheesy, pick-your-pleasure ingredients on a delicious crust. I'll be back...for sure!!P.S. I'd have provided pictures, but the pizza was so good, it was gone before I even remembered I could've taken photos!!

Wow this place has the best pizza! I’m only half way through my pizza but could not resist putting this review.Once you discover this place, you will not get pizza anywhere else in SLC.

One of the best pizzerias in SLC! Their chicken bacon ranch is amazing and is my personal favorite. They even have vegan options as well. No matter which pizza you like you won't be disappointed.

We love the pizza here, also the fire pits to warm up. We had cheese pull outs, thin crust pizza and the biggest size pizza with mushrooms. It was delicious!

I would give 5 stars if I was only rating the food. I guess having the best pizza in town (possibly the nation) has given them a huge head. Their attitude and service is absolutely awful. When busy they have a habit of hanging up the phone rather than take the call. When you pick up a take out order, they often project an attitude of superiority. They use COVID as an excuse to avoid delivery to your appartment door. I am sure they would expect a tip for comming to your building, and having you come down to them. You might as well just go pick it up since they really dont deliver, but then you have to deal with the above.
