Haven't been here for quite awhile and a group wasn't far away so we gave it a go and were pleasantly surprised. Expected Sunday brunch to be crowded and a long wait. We got right in.The waitress quickly greeted us and took drink orders. Was very nice while we waited for a couple more. When she took the orders she was helpful with suggestions of ways to make requests and options work better.Food came out without too long of a wait and everything was as delicious as I remembered, with several options for a vegetarian like me... More if you just opt for no meat on other dishes.Service got a little slow as it got busier and we were trying to wrap up. Had to wait to get checks and specifically flag down the waitress to get them, but still a good experience. PS... You pay up front not at the table.

The Other Place is the pinnacle of nostalgia for me. Greek diners are such a staple in Salt Lake, but none of them hold a candle to this place. The menu is so cool and varied. Everything is so consistent and delicious. And there’s a ridiculous amount of food for a small amount of cash. It’s just a perfect mash up of factors to create a great experience. I remember getting breakfast here with my dad over 20 years ago. It’s the same as it was back then, just a great throwback with comfort classics.

I’ve been working downtown for years and my folks just took me to this place. It’s incredibly charming, love their model of keeping it simple, authentic and their prices are fantastic. Spoke to the owner a little bit, he takes great pride in his work. The staff is very friendly and food is well prepared. Great portions too. I’ll be back quite a bit. I love the vibe and staying true to who they are. Owner said the lamb shank and the rice pudding is delish. I’ll try that next!

Only place I've ever been to that I couldn't finish the whole meal on an empty stomach. Each main dish comes with salad, soup, bread, and dessert. Without a doubt you will be stuffed when you leave. The food was very much a warm comfort food for me. Made me feel like I was at grandma's house. I highly highly recommend this place. Also our server Ron was on top of his game. Need more like him.

Went here for lunch- I got a 10z Steak with Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Salad, and Garlic for less then $15. -Incredible Deal.I went with 3 other friends, and we were all impressed by the price and quantity of food. I’m going to make sure I come back!

The place has had a reputation of serving great food. Generous portions, and no messing around service. I mean, our waiter was attentive and proactive. A Greek restaurant with other options but the best value in the city. Never had a bad experience here. I've been coming here for 20 years. I shouldn't give them so much praise because I'll never get a table. Kind of I want this place to be a secret. But, I'm sure everyone knows because I'm not the only one.

this restaurant is more than just great food, it's about creating a quaint, homey, friendly environment right here in salt lake city that you can return to over and over again through the years. from the second you walk in, you feel as if you're in a cozy diner in manhattan, with windows right on the city streets and plenty of tables. the menu is diverse and extensive. i personally love the lamb chops or sometimes just the turkey blt and a cup of soup; but no matter what you order, you are guaranteed to have a thoroughly enjoyable meal. i would say the most important attribute of this pleasantly old-fashioned eatery is that, from the owners to the cooks to the waiters to the bussers, you feel the love they put into their work and that really paints your whole experience enchantingly unique.

Huge portions which were reasonably priced. Staff really friendly.

This place is the best! A super homey and inviting energy of a place that you know cares about it customers! The food is amazing! When I don’t have time to stop in, I still make sure I pick up food from here because it’s so dang good:)

Another fantastic meal at The Other Place. Hamburger steak for me, and lamb for my wife. Topped off with waiter recommended heated up baklava with vanilla ice cream!
