I stopped in to the green pig in SLC because google maps showed it as the closet pub to my hotel and I was looking for some food and a drink. The pulled pork sandwich was amazing. The service was even more amazing. Kinnison, there might have been a T in the name, provided a warm welcome. I ordered my drink and she brought me a big mug of ice water saying it was hot out there. 97 ° to be exact. I was pleasantly surprised when she placed a coaster under my drink. I am in the service industry also, and that seem to be a custom that has gone by the wayside. It may seem like a small detail, but in combination with all of K’s hospitality it made for a very pleasant experience. I had to chase her down for a refill. The smile and genuine friendliness continued throughout my visit. Her anticipation of customer needs and attention to detail was impeccable. Brava
The rooftop really sets the Green Pig apart from other bars downtown. We don’t have many of em!Luckily the views are great, they have misters for those hot months and they typically will have some kind of deal on drinks on a weekday!Menu is typical bar food but the food is actually good! My drinks weren’t that expensive.I ordered about 4 cocktails and a chicken tender basket and it was ~$45. Pretty good if you ask me.The space was also packed and service was pretty good! Given also the amount of people that were there.Overall worth a visit!
Super dog friendly, our server was kind and attentive. GET THE BLACKEN SALMON TACOS! They gave our Maja girl a Tito’s water bowl and a biscuit. So so cute! They just got Sunday regulars (:
A late night visit was perfect except they stopped their "Daily Specials" at 10pm. My taste buds were yearning for The "Garlic Burger" $10 Deal. Guess next time I have to show up early. I did have the $12 "Angus Sliders". Three of them.. with bacon bits was a delicious combo. A half order of wings for $9 was a good choice too... Be careful they come out fresh and HOT!.. Service was great at the bar and on Tuesday Nights.. $2.50 for 12oz can of Tecate was Terrific. There's a cool atmosphere here which no doubt can make The Green Pig a popular spot.
Went there for lunch. Rooftop patio is mostly covered and great to sit at on a nice day! Reuben sandwich and fries were delicious. A must try!
The vegan menu options were great. They offer vegan ranch!I’d recommend Green Pig if you’re not sure where to go. That’s what we did and we were happy with the chill vibes. We were there around 4pm. The hostess bartender was attentive, and polite about recommending drinks and discussing the menu.Note: The seating upstairs looking over the street is a great think spot or casual first date seating.
My group and I had Sarah Rose as our waitress, and could not have been happier. She was such a delight, and so hospitable. The bar was out of a liquor for a drink I ordered, and she made an incredible substitution drink. Her customer service skills were amazing, and she was such an absolute babe inside and out. Can't recommend her enough, she really made my experience stand out. I've been here before and didn't think much of it, but thoroughly enjoyed myself this time round. Thank you Sarah!!!!
This was one of the first dog friendly places we found during our stay in Utah so we had to check it out!We came for the food but the views from the rooftop patio and the staff made it worth it!!! Extremely kind staff, LeAnn noticed ourtable was wobbly and immediately fixed it!They are dog friendly until 6 pm and they prefer seating you on the patio! They gave our puppy a water bowl and a dog bone treat, which he loved! The vegan tiger wings came with a side of ranch, my husband loved them. The wings tasted like real chicken!!!! They were dressed in a honey sriracha sauce and tasted sweet & spicy, if you're into that. The chicken tender basket was my basic girl meal. The tenders were hot & fried fresh served on top of a BASKET of fries. They had a couple different options on which sauces you'd like, I picked thejalapeño ranch which was delicious. They added a side of chipotle ranch as well it kinda tasted like mayo & ketchup mixed up but my husband enjoyed it!10/10 will definitely come back when in town again!
Cool place in Salt Lake. Went on a Sunday when mostly everything else is closed in the area. Dog friendly was a plus. We sat on the top deck, had a great view, but service could've been a little better. Waited 5 minutes (maybe more) before anyone even asked what we wanted to drink, no menus, looked it up on our phone so we wouldn't have to wait long to order. Food was great and drinks were really good too. Will definitely give it another try next time I'm in the area.
Found this place by local suggestion. It was a surprising fun place with really tasty food. Our waiter made really drink suggestions! Food fast and delicious and quite creative. The place has a great atmosphere, lots of TV's and great music. And Friendly.
