You will have a wait since this is a popular restaurant. Worth the hour wait especially because we got cocktails at the bar next door. Anyhow, the staff was very helpful and recommended some outstanding sashimi and sushi rolls. The drinks and food were off the hook good.

This sushi and service was so good! We had to wait over an hour and a half for our table and I promise you it’s worth the wait! We ate little appetizers and had drinks at the bar next door while waiting, go get some sushi that you’ll never forget!
I’ve been here several times for top notch fresh sushi. Best strategy = put your name in for your table and head next door to The Post Office for drinks and appetizers. Don’t forget to try the Japanese Whiskey. Recommendations for Takashi go for the Sake flight, Strawberry fields, Puff the magic dragon, T&T, Crunchy Ebi, spicy muscles with quail egg and don’t forget he Tuna Tataki. If you’re new to sushi go with puff the magic dragon
This may be the best sushi I have ever eaten. Very creative menu and fantastic quality. We had an hour wait to get in, but it was totally worth it. Fantastic service as well.
My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary dinner. the wagyu was extremely salty, the second one was extremely cold and the manager was rude
Perhaps some of the very best sushi and sashimi I’ve ever tasted. I was pleasantly surprised with each bite I took. I’ve heard about this place and what they have to offer, but had to experience it myself. There is an air of fun and good smell when you walk in. The staff is ultra friendly and quite helpful. 2 of my favorite rolls to eat out of all the choices were Puff the Magic Dragon and the Tiger. Absolutely amazing. I decided to try their limeade with sparkling water which was the perfect compliment to the meal. They do a great job at keeping this place clean. Everyone I looked at smiled and it was an enjoyable time. I would absolutely eat here again!
Takashi is sure to be one of the best sushi experiences you will ever have. Sushi combinations are extremely flavorful and we'll thought out. Plating is an art form here with amazing layouts. All ingredients are fresh. Great selection of Sake. Atmosphere is we'll thought out in this beautiful building with great architecture. This should definitely be a restaurant you consider when looking for a place to go on a special occasion.
Takashi really never ceases to amaze me. Since their opening, Ive yet to eat a meal there that was anything short of excellent. The quality of their fish is always front and center. The rolls are always flavorful and well packed. There’s not much to critique. You should get the TNT. But I’m not joking when I say the sauce may be one of the spiciest things I’ve ever had. It sneaks up on you too. Probably my favorite lunch in salt lake.
I haven't been to too many sushi places, but my friends insisted on going here because "everything is great". I was a bit skeptical at first as I do not enjoy fish, but they had tons of other options too! Their Miso soup was great, but their Azekura was just next level!! I would definitely love to come back and try some of their other dishes too!
