We had a fantastic experience at Soundwell. Joe and the crew were very attentive to Charley. They frequently checked on us to make sure he was comfortable and having a great time. We will definitely be on the lookout for more shows at this venue.

The shows here are great. However there is hardly any AC. It gets extremely hot, especially when trying to dance. Also they make a lot of shows all ages so there is no liquor being served. Maybe this would be okay if they had gluten free beer, but they do not. Sucks that SLC doesn’t have a decent venue.

Went to a concert here and the venue was great! They offered water cups which was AMAZING. So kind. Why don't more venues do that?? And anyone with a drink from the bar had to stay closer to the bar so you didn't have to worry about drinks being spilled. The sound was great because of the small space. Overall, loved it!

This was a great venue. Plenty of space for dancing plus there was good service and lots of bar attendants. The merchants there were great too. I found an awesome headress for one of my friends. Will definitely come back here

We had So so much fun! Great music, great venue! The only thing was the bar. I'm not a fan of white claw and I don't like beer. A Mike's hard lemonade would be a good option for them to add to their list.

One of my favorite smaller venues! All ages shows, 18+, and 21+ shows. The way they set up the entrance and bar for all ages show was great! Fantastic venue all around. Staff is friendly and helpful as well.

The performance by Joy Oladokun was outstanding... But it's tougher all the time to be getting older and have be standing all the time. I get they want to pack in the people and keep them engaged, but my arthritis... ? Love these small venues that are bringing in diverse talent. Everyone was incredibly nice. Acoustics were reasonable and they didn't overdo the amplification.

Soundwell is one of my favorite concert venues!! It always has great acoustics and a well designed stage where you can actually see wherever you are standing.

I used to really like this venue but they are making changes that I do not agree with. They are making it an all age venue but instead of having a separated area for kids, they gave the kids the entire place and caged off the bar but then also took away the liquor. You really expect adults that have to pay for tickets and attend after working to have to put up with kids and be sober? Not everyone wants to pay $7-10 for a beer. It just seems a tad ridiculous. I will never understand why venues cater to people that do not work or buy the tickets. Like I get that some people want to do stuff as a family but Salt Lake actually has the most single adults. It would also be nice if there was seating or a VIP lounge option. Maybe they will find a way to fix the kinks. It has a lot of potential. 4 stars though because the security team is amazing and on point. I was really impressed with them.

I want to like this place, because the sound is great. But the bouncer out front was... poorly trained. Y'all are requiring to show a vaccination *card* at the door, with absolutely zero notice of this requirement. The reasoning I was given? Because somebody can "fake" the government certified app that shows all of your vaccines in the state of Utah. But my girlfriend's negative test (which could be easily faked) was no problem? Absolutely zero logic here. I would suggest to reconsider your stance on this policy. The bouncer was just doing his job, and I get that, but this type of policy is so illogical and just highly frustrating to your patrons, and I am not inclined to come back to this venue even though I am a local and really want to love it. Plus, I have a large group of event-inclined friends who also thought that was highly unprofessional and absurd. Happy to discuss this further if you are so inclined.
