First of all, they didn't have digdug... This place is pretty cool, music choice was very intense punk music blasting, but I liked it personally. They have a few cool machines, but definitely bring your own quarters if you're wanting to play, the ATM fee was pretty harsh here. Also absolutely no parking, I live close enough to walk, so that's what I did.
The thing is, a barcade is just not the place for me. I've got OCD, so a bunch of handles and buttons being touched all the time by a few hundred people is not my scene. Plus, it's cramped and not super well-ventilated so the air is just like humid with human vapor. Sorry ha ha.However, I was here for a concert on the DLC stage in the back, and it was a great experience! I didn't play any games, but I had really good interactions with the bartender in the main bar and at the DLC. Both were quick, friendly, and conversational. The sound was good for the show, and there was a surprising amount of space, even a few tables to sit at. I'd definitely see another show here, but I have no interest in the arcade portion, even though I love video games and it seems like the selection is great. I really dig the idea of the N64 corner too. Shame I can't physically interact with any of it ha ha.
Great Barcade that uses its limited space well. Spent a couple hours here on a Saturday night and had a blast for less than $20. It was rather busy but the bartenders do a great job of getting through people quickly and i never had to wait an unreasonably long amount of time to play a game. They have a great selection of 80s classics and pinball machines, but I wish they would get a few more light gun games. The only two they have are carnevil and big buck hunter. If they had a couple 90s classics(time crisis, house of the dead, area 51, silent scope) i probably would have stayed longer. That's just a minor complaint though, overall this is a great place to entertain yourself for cheap.
Bartender was so quick very professional and really nice! There were a few machines that we were warned by other customers not to use they took their money no signs saying out of order but it was super chill nice place to drink and play a little bit if arcade games! Its also super hot in there both times I've gone here needs a couple fans maybe otherwise fun place!
I’ve been to similar bars like this but this one even though smaller is a very chill and inviting place. Friendly (and funny) bartenders that don’t ignore you when wanting a drink. Nintendo 64, classic board games, awesome local beers, mixed drinks, and even a not so secret entrance to a concert venue in the back! I had such a great time I would definitely come back again
This is a fantastic date spot. The games and lighting are really fun and they have a full cocktail bar. Also there is a music venue in the back called DLC where they book local bands and there is another mini bar back there too. Great staff with very little turnover, so you know management is great. Also, it’s a rite of passage to get your fortune told by Zoltar
Fun games. I had a great drink and their booze selection is extensive and affordable. Only downside was there was only one bartender. But I would definitely go back to play more games.
Wow this place nostalgic. This is my favorite bar in SLC. The selection of pinball alone is enough for me. They also have a Nintendo 64 with Mario cart...enough said. The drinks are punk influenced which is a plus plus. (Try the holiday in Cambodia) Saturdays it packs out so get there early.
Girlfriend took me here for valentines/anniversary. Great drinks great selection of games and we had a great time until one of the other customers unplugged my pinball machine after I had played one game and told me that game was his. I left the pinball machine and let the bouncer know about it. I went back to playing other games but quickly left after nothing was done about it. Your bouncers should be providing a safe fun environment for customers and they failed to do that. We won’t be back.
Anytime I walk into a place and they have Carnevil, I know it's going to be a great time. As a 90s kid I love this place. From pinball to Mario kart to Pacman there is something to love for everyone. Personally I recommend Carnevil and Gauntlet Legends to bring some nostalgia. They have a solid selection of beer too.
