I enjoy coming for brunch/lunch. It’s always been top notch! They’ve really nailed it! I mean seriously, service is always good, for a small and busy place they keep their restaurant clean and keep up with the busy times!Everything that I’ve ordered from the drinks to the food has been stellar. Now wait times are where we get into some maneuvering. I suggest downloading the yelp app, join the waitlist and if you wanna be double sure, call the restaurant to be sure your name is there. Arrive about 20 min early if your wait time is long, cause sometimes people leave and you get bumped up quick! If you’re still needing to wait, visit the local market across the street and use it as a time filler, and shop while you’re at it! That’s what I’ll typically do to make the best of the waiting cause it does get long on weekends!
You’re going to look at my review and think I’m just some hater. But honestly, I actually love pig and a jelly jar, but the Ogden location is far superior. This brunch was very enjoyable, and better than some of the overhyped places in town, but I still wasn’t as happy as the multiple times I’ve gone to Ogden. I understand this is a chain, or so, but Ogden seems to be so much better. Still was a great experience, but just keep things in mind if you are all around Utah.
Came here at around 2pm on a weekday so it wasn’t busy. Food was easy to order, but after I paid I looked at the check and got charged a gratuity fee of 18%. When I ordered the sandwich and paid for it, there was never a mention of a mandatory 18% up-charge. I wasn’t waited on and feel like a surprise gratuity for simply ordering at a register is a bit ridiculous. After this we sat down outside and were told by staff we couldn’t eat outside.. just because. It was a nice day and we picked the Pig & Jelly jar so we could sit outside. Felt very strange we got kicked out for seemingly no reason when we were just trying to enjoy our food on the outside table.Overall I paid 11.54 for an egg with a hamburger bun and 2 slices of bacon. I understand foods subjective but felt like I really did not get much value or taste for what I paid. The potatoes were very good though and If I came here again I would probably just go for a side of them.I will say that The chicken and waffles are great, but overall just felt unwelcome coming here.
I love brunch places so I came here and wanted to try their cocktails. You have to order at the front before you’re seated, so I started with a mimosa. I got my drink and my food, then I felt I wanted more mimosas, I was told I have to wait in line again to order more, but there were tons of people waiting in line, so I was a bit upset. One of the servers offered to just bring me a drink and she did so that was nice. I’m giving this place 3 stars because of their ordering system, but service was ok, you have to grab their attention to get it, they don’t check on you, so that was different. Food was ok.
Stop by to finally give this place a shot because it's always packed and I'm not sure what all the rave is about? Please tell me what I missing? I ordered the biscuits and gravy with an egg and my biscuits were hard. I also ordered coffee when I received a refill it was cold, like ice cold. Want to be fair so the next time I visit need to know what the specialty is to have such a draw. The vibe felt really welcoming and positive, service was eh...
Eaten at this place a few times now and everything’s been consistent: great service, great food, great atmosphere.
I spent $25 today to have this ridiculousness delivered to me. Cheap French fries, not home cut as advertised, half an egg that was so overdone there was no yolk, gravy that covered only about 10 fries and bacon that was so raw I had to cook it myself... oh and 2 biscuits. Would you pay $25 for that?? This is just totally unacceptable. Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android
Food was good. Ordered the biscuits and gravy with coffee. Wasn’t too impressed, But believe it is an ok place for cup of coffee and quick breakfast. Everyone seemed to enjoy food.
Do not recommend this place. We ordered "curbside" pickup and we had to actually go inside to pick up our food. We got the chicken and waffles and the fried chicken and biscuits and neither tasted as good as they charged us for. The waffle was decent but the pieces of chicken were nice and soggy, flavorless, and the potatoes were disgusting with a horrible after taste. The biscuits were okay but I'd rather spend $3 on McDonald's for two of their chicken and biscuits. Good jelly though!
We’ve been wanting to go here for some time. Finally went yesterday and the food was horrible. It was 3 of us. We all ordered 2 entree a piece and nothing was good. All the food seemed to be warm, not hot and fresh. I understand the shortage of staff but that should have no bearing on the quality of food being served. I ordered kitchen sink, soggy chicken and dry biscuits. I asked for crispy bacon and got a soggy 4 burnt/ limp covered in oil bacon. Everything was bland on down to the coffee. I hate I wasn’t aware of the gratuity automatically added to the total. Had I known I wouldn’t have tipped like I did. I will never go back to this place again.
