Saw Pat’s on DDD and wanted to check it out. Traveled to Salt Lake City so had to come by. Kinda of a funky joint with a good selection of items. I chose the 2 meat plate ( brisket and sausage)with beans and potato salad. They offer 2 sauces, mild and hot. They had a good flavor but just a little thin for my preference. The potato salad was good and tasty. The baked beans were flavorful as well. The sausage was good with a thin skin. The brisket was a little fatty for my liking (we all have our preferences) but still tasted good (the best I’ve had in Utah).Would I come back? Absolutely!!Gonna try a burger next time and some of the meaty gravy with rice!!
Only recommendation would be to check your BBQ-in-a-Box order before you leave. We wanted to provide lunch for our large group of hungry cabinet makers. Pat's was able to come through on short notice. I tried to give the recommended 24hrs notice, but the Commonwealth location never called back. I tried the State Street address at 6pm and they said they would make sure it happened and I got a confirmation text early the next morning. Unfortunately, the take out was missing the sauce (pretty key to BBQ) and the rolls that they said would be provided. But again, they were accommodating our unintentional short notice, so maybe mistakes were to be expected - it was also about 1/2 an hour later than they said it would be ready. Apart from that, the food was plentiful (based on our guys I'm surprised there were left overs ;), and delicious. The guys were very impressed and kept commenting on how delicious it smelled and tasted - the meat and the sides.
In SLC for business and a colleague recommended Pat’s for lunch. Great choice. Food was served quickly and was done to perfection. Look forward to my next trip back.
Nothing exotic about the food. Had to reheat everything. Missing order Garden Salad.Combo 3 Meat no flavor/smoke. Leg & thigh overcooked the Brisket no flavorSmoke Meatloaf not bad.Mac Cheese plainGreens ok
Do yourself a huge favor and go to the State Street location !! We had made reservations in person one month ago for my son’s graduation dinner and confirmed on the phone on Wednesday. First guests to arrive were told we had no reservation, we can’t seat you. The restaurant was empty. The incredibly miserable female employee was so rude to my son. In fact I was told everyone was not too nice to them. The owner told us we could get a discount on our dinner and go to State st.location. I thought the night was ruined until we met Tammy and her amazing crew. Food was excellent, she is the nicest person ever. Thank you Tammy !!!
One of my hundred and I favorite BBQ place. Always love their food!Ate:3 meat & 2 meat platter w/ 2 sides.Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork, Sausage, Mac&Cheese, Fries, Mashed Potatoes, Jambalaya and Cornbread.
It's been a while since my last visit, good BBQ better than most but has room for improvement, the highlight was the ribs, WOW, delicious and juicy, if the whole meal was this good it would have been a home run. The sausage was juicy and full of flavor but could have used a full portion not just half a link. The sliced brisket was slightly disappointing, you could tell it was pre sliced very thin and sitting around, it was not warm or juicy and I get it a large place they pre prep items but this should not be one of them.
Thank you so much to the owner/manager who seated us and took our orders today. You were awesome with suggestions and welcoming us! I had ordered the smoked sausage and greens with my 2 meat platter at your suggestion and was so excited to try them, unfortunately when the food came I was given items I did not order instead. When I asked the waitress who took over if I could order greens she said that the kitchen ran out and she "grabbed the cornbread for you instead". Everything was still absolutely delicious, especially the burnt ends! We will definitely be back and be highly recommending Pat's to everyone we know! Thank you again for a great lunch!
Fantastic burgers!! Wings delicious! Sweet potato fries knock out! Try everything!! Skol Vikings!
Went for lunch and ordered the smoked wings. They were overcooked but the honey Buffalo flavor was great. Fries were delicious and the environment was welcoming. Good lunch visit!
