Barbeque Korean

Single worst korean bbq experience ever. The meat they brought out was dry and brown around the edges. Looking like freezer burn. I was afraid to eat it. The soon tofu soup was yellow and looked horrible. I walked away. I'm really worried about the quality of the food. The outside of the building was really dilapidated and I was willing to overlook that but the food quality was as bad as the appearance. The kimchi also tasted really wrong. Like it had some sweet syrup in it. Save yourself the money and time and go somewhere else.

Felt like Korean again so picked a place as I drove by. Excellent food and service was pretty good except at the end I asked twice for the cold noodles but never got them. Oh well can't be perfect all the time. Would definitely come back again to try other options.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - the proteins we selected were all nicely cut and seems like decent quality as they weren't frozen solid still nor melted. The galbi was a bit disappointing as it was really chewy (not in a good way). The sides and appetizers were surprisingly good! Note that the marinades and flavors seem less Korean and more Japanese/Chinese. They were out of (32) bacon enoki or no longer carry it. These were the items we ordered (2) takoyaki, (14) fried sesame balls, (18) prime beef brisket, (19) prime beef tongue, (20) prime pork belly, (24) Ombu signature beef tenderloin, (25) Ombu signature galbi, (39) herring grill, (49) corn cheese, and (52) beef donejang soup potAmbience: 4/5 - nice and cozy shop without the music being too loud. The shop did get really smokey as the night went on.Service: 5/5 - slight language barrier but the server was really nice and came by to check on us multiple timesValue for price: 5/5 - The banner outside has incorrect advertised price! Lunch $14.99 to $15.99 and dinner $19.99 to $21.99. The food was good though and we saw the difference in price when we opened the menu so we weren't too shocked

Great place for all you can eat Korean BBQ. I’ve tried a few KBBQ restaurants in the valley and this is my new favorite. The location sucks, tons of homeless with not enough parking in their lot. It’s safe enough but definitely lock your car and be aware of your surroundings. The restaurant is a good space to enjoy time with friends. KBBQ is a social experience. The grills work well. The staff are okay, not great. The prices are good compared to other AYCE restaurants. They bring food out pretty quickly and you can eat a lot! They have a wide variety of items on the menu, both ones you cook yourself and some that come prepared. The corn cheese is super tasty, as are the takoyaki (fried balls of fish). The meats are good quality. I’ve never been worried about food coming here.

We were visiting from the Los Angeles area and we were looking for a serious kbbq fix in SLC. Overall the meat was decent. I recommend the short rib and brisket. I expected more from the bulgogi since it's an essential Korean dish. Maybe it was a bad night, but I would stay away from it.The rice was decent and was a nice touch. The sauces were sweet if your into that.Overall, a decent fix with the essentials in the SLC area.

Lovely staff, changed are plate a lot. The item that looks like Mac and cheese is actually corn with cheese pretty taste. Would have preferred more refills. But still a lovely experience.

I really enjoyed my time in OMBU grill, the staff was splendid and the food was great! I honestly think it’s a good place to come with friends and enjoy a meal. Will highly recommend.

Worst customer service EVER, it’s ridiculous how I needed to basically chase the waiter for anything including my check AND checkout. I would think with only 3 other tiny groups (4 people) it wouldn’t have been this hard to get my waiter. Ain’t coming back for sure. The rice tasted like it was frozen and had to drown the taste with soy sauce On top of your ridiculous “child” pricing. No thanks.

Loved most everything. Location, ambiance, and facilities were all excellent. It was my husband's first time with Korean BBQ and I was specific about that to our waiter but it did not seem notable to him and nothing was explained. Kinda disappointing. My first time was in California and the waitress went through the whole process and key points of the menu making it such an enjoyable experience. I was hoping for the same here. It is different and somewhat confusing to a newbie so a quick rundown would have really helped. Also I felt the menu was tad limited for the price. Overall would recommend though.

Wow! It's all the fun of cooking, but no chopping ingredients or clean up! I appreciate the buffet style so you can try all the different things they have. Go here! Eat! Cook! Try new things!!
