As a west african, this was my first time trying Somalian food.We ordered the lamb dish, chicken skoor, pasta and rice. I was also going to try their ambusa and chapati but they ran out. Both lamb and chicken dishes had strong personalities. Flavors were aromatic, vibrant and colorful. On the musical scale, i'd say they hit the high notes for me. The flavor profile I'd say is cousin to the middle east /arab food I've experienced so far (not shocking if you know a little bit about berber population etc..).For an introduction to Somali food, it could not have started any better; I will explore other Somali restos in the area out of curiosity and for comparison purpose but I'm not sure how they will be able to top this.Service is not americanized ( no waiters or waitresses, etc), no prices on the screen. It's more like a takeout place that happens to have cpl tables should you decide to sit.

When I initially tried coming it was closed with seemingly no information. After trying again I now realize they were closed temporarily in observance of Ramadan.I tried the lamb dish with Chapati and found it good but not bursting with flavor. The lamb had a unique smell to it and being not so familiar to Somalian cuisine I will chalk it up to spices I'm not used to eating. The restaurant itself was modest but there was a bug on the public sink in the back. I will continue to explore Somalian cuisine but this experience has been rather lackluster.

First off the food is absolutely amazing! We had the rice and noodle mix with beef skoor. Flavor was amazing and the size was perfect. We were able to share one order between the two of us. The hospitality, we felt welcomed.TRY THE GREEN SAUCE!!!

Came here for dinner and order Chicken Skoor And Lamb Shank cup of sweet tea and bottle water. Balck tea was very sweet for me.Watch some superball final ))Overall enjoyed and meet my brothers in Islam!

Great food! Great experience! The food is pretty much freshly cook so plan accordingly (it could take some time before you get to enjoy your delicious meal)

Rhis was my first visit. The food was good, it took almost 30 min. for my order to be ready. The place was not busy at all, but they had some take out orders. The place could use some deep cleaning, the best option couls be to order take out.Service was friendly.

I opened the door to and noticed that my wife and I were the only white people in the room, so I could tell the food would be awesome. I was definitely right about that. The man behind the counter suggested we try the lamb, and it was absolutely the best lamb dish I've ever had. My wife got chicken and pasta, which was also amazing (we went halfsies on our meals to get variety). They were sold out of a couple of items I was hoping to try, but we were there within about half an hour of closing time, so that made sense. I can't wait to go back and try more.

Great food with distinctive taste especially the lamb shank. The place itself needs some improvement in the dine in area. Prices are okay considering the food amount.

I've never had Somali food, but it was delicious. I highly recommend the chicken dish. It was a mixture and so flavorful, yum! If you like lamb it was well cooked just not mixed with anything like the chicken was. The chapati is also delicious.

Fantastic!! Some of the best food I’ve had in a while. Great portions. Reasonable prices. Really nailed it.
