Recently, my wife and I along with 6 other people ate at Nomad. It was our first time. We were all happily reunited for one of our birthdays after not having been with each for 2 years. We ate, enjoyed the food, enjoyed the ambiance, enjoyed each other. No complaints up until this point with the evening (except that you were out of burgers). As dinner winded down, we placed our leftover pizzas in boxes and got our bills. And then, as we were about to leave, my friend told us she had brought cupcakes to help celebrate her husbands birthday. We opened up the box, ate a few bites, took some to go and got ready to leave. As we were leaving the table, my friend told us she had an unexplained $10 ‘cake fee’. Nothing was mentioned. We checked the menu—nothing noted. Furthermore, it was charged to the bill before the cupcakes were ever on the table—the server must have seen the boxes and felt compelled to apply this asinine, superfluous charge. No communication. No notice. In fact, no extra plates. No extra utensils. No candle. Nothing to warrant the charge. Just a random $10 charge. And to be clear, the $10 is not the issue. The issue is the lack of communication and presumptiveness that is disappointing. What was a great night ended by leaving a ridiculously bad taste in our mouths. It is this type of unexplained, unprecedented pettiness that will be the lasting story we will tell of the one time we went to Nomad.I emailed the restaurant immediately after this happened and after over a week I've yet to receive a response.
Nomad East was recommended by a local vegetarian friend- great personal sized pizzas; the “family” size salad was good for 4 of us as a starter, fresh greens and flavorful. There are a few entrees that looked good but we stayed with 3 pizzas for the 5 of us. Mushroom pizza (“The Fun Guy”) with fresh mozzarella, fontina, garlic cream, peppers was excellent; one pizza (Littlefoot) was a bit salty for our tastes (we should have asked for reduced salt) but good flavors; margherita pizza was light and also very good. Mid week wasn’t too busy but reservations recommended. Waitstaff knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive ! Which we always appreciate :)
LOVED their pizza! The smoked salmon salad was easily one of the best salads I’ve ever had! And the pizza’s were very delicious! We got a ham and pineapple pizza which isn’t normally a go to, but was surprisingly delicious with the hot honey! The other pizza was equally if not more delicious!! Make sure to make reservations if you can, it’s a small place and fills up quickly on a Friday night. I also love the ambiance of the restaurant! Perfect for date night!
Delicious and creative pizza with great crust! Cute decor and good service. I adore the Fun Guy with shaved Brussels sprouts and sweet drop peppers.
Delicious! We got the Pretty in Pink and the Hawaii 5-0. Would definitely recommend the the Pretty in Pink, the Hawaii 5.0 was great, we’d probably try something different next time.Minor complaint, cook the pizza for maybe a minute less. We found the pizzas to just be slightly overdone.Overall, great experience, great atmosphere, will definitely be coming back!
6 thumbs up! Everything was excellent. Especially pizzas, smoked salmon salad, roasted carrots. Quite reasonably priced for the quality of food and service.
Pretty good pizza with some unique toppings and a pretty good crust!
We love Nomad. End up eating here more times then not when we choose a place to go out. Everything we've tried there, which is much of the menu is 10/10
get the pretty in pink and upper crust!! ZERO LIFE REGRETS. also, if you’re going on the weekend, call and make a reservation. if you’re picking up to go on the weekend, call like 1-2 hours ahead. not kidding.
Pizza is all they have - that is really bad a can of tomato sauce spread on a piece of dough what a waste of location - they are a real disappointment
