Chinese Cantonese Dim Sum

I ordered takeout and it was a bit of a mixed bag.I ordered off of Grubhub and I had the same issue as usual with GH, the order wasn’t marked as complete. I called and it was ready. Picking up was easy, though I had to ask for utensils. The staff were friendly. They have a huge menu with Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese, and dim sum.I tried two dim sum dishes: the Shanghai dumplings and the pork steam buns. I also ordered a beef lo mein combo. The combo came with egg drop soup, an egg roll, ham fried rice, and a fried shrimp. The Shanghai dumplings were pretty good, especially for being late in the day when most dim sum is made in the morning. The pork buns were okay but a little dry. The egg drop soup wasn’t very good. The two fried items were tasty. The rice was really bland. The noodles were okay. The beef was really good but the noodles had an odd flavor.Overall, a very mixed experience. Prices seemed fair and I had plenty of leftovers for another meal.

I usually order the same dish . Spicy Chicken Feet. They cook to order on spice level. I LOVE THIS DISH been here 1x a week

This an ok place to eat, especially if you're really hungry. It used to look nice and clean during the first few years but obviously no maintenance and no longer as clean, even the glass tables are a bit greasy. Empty boxes, pile of table cloth and other kitchen gadgets are just next to our table. The food is ok but could be better like it used to. They don't serve water till you request for it. I could see a lot of servers but they were not attentive. You will need to go see them by kitchen area if you need to place additional food orders.

I was craving dim sum as it has been years. Always unsure about trying a new place but this one did not disappoint!! We got orange chicken, pork pan fried noodles, several shrimp and pork dumplings and steamed buns. All of it was warm and tasty and came out much faster than anticipated! Pan fried noodles is my favorite dish and had lots of veggies. The waiters were friendly. Didn't come by quite often enough to refill water but my focus is the food and I was very satisfied. Everyone found something they liked. I will be back!

My family has been enjoying Golden Dragon for years. The food is delicious, the dim sum is delightful. We like to order take out and eat leftovers. We often visit here on Christmas and Christmas Eve. Service is always Amazing, thank you!

I’ve tried two other Chinese/Cantonese restaurants in SLC and this is my favorite. Food is good. Service is not horrible; staff are pleasant. Looking forward to my next visit.

This is the perfect restaurant if you're craving Chinese food. It's authentic enough that the receipt is half in Chinese, but it's American enough that it's still somewhat familiar. They have takeout and dine in for whatever your needs. They are very friendly too. Portions are large enough to feed three so I always get one fried rice and one type of chicken and call that dinner for the family.

great dim sum with cart service

The orange chicken and the sesame chicken are terrific. Great waitstaff. Good price for a lot of food.

Authentic Cantonese seafood and dim sum but lacks refinement. The Shanghainese dumpling (XiaoLongBao) looks and tastes like a steamed pork bun: it’s an embarrassment to Shanghainese cuisine (wasn’t having high hopes in a Cantonese establishment). All the dishes came out in lightning speed in 2-15 min. Serving sizes of the regular dishes are big. It’s a typical Chinese place: don’t expect smiley service while they are being efficient, and do go on Christmas Eve and Day because they open till 8pm. They have live lobsters and seafood. Big place if they open all sections but the seating feels like a traditional and old Chinese cantine.
