If you come here, get the sampler special! The Himalayan Kitchen is a wonderful restaurant deserving of it's many awards. I came with my parents for a family lunch. We initially expected a buffet, but they didn't have that open, instead suggesting three specials that gave a similar experience. They were fabulous! Full marks! I especially loved the mint sauce. Additionally if you're heat-sensitive, you won't find this to be too spicy. My parents had absolutely no trouble. Overall, a great place to eat in the middle of the SLC bubble.

I had to wait almost 1 hour to get my food. I was told initially that the wait time is about 20-25 minutes. Even after the wait, I was surprised to see that the food was not authentic and the flavor of both the gravies I had ordered was exactly the same. The staff was helpful and understanding, however, the restaurant owner was rude and gave vague excuses for the delay. The food is not that great and they are serving unauthentic food that lacks flavor and taste.

Ordered:1. Rose Milk - ?2. Himalayan Tea3. Chicken Thukpa ( Chicken Tandoori Pieces)4. Paneer Tikka Masala5. Garlic NaanWarm and friendly welcome by the staff

Portions here are a scam for what you pay. The deep fried chicken was dry and had very little flavor - an actual can of chicken from the grocery store tastes better and for the price you could get a whole rotisserie. The rose tea on the other hand was too strong, it was like drinking an actual canister of air freshener. Closest thing to a saving grace was the rice pudding which was very good but again the price to portion ration is really bad.

Absolutely phenomenal. I cannot recommend this place enough. Flavorful, affordable, interesting. 10/10

Great food and the menu is very expansive. Great for vegetarian and vegan as well as clearly lsbed for those with allergies. For a party of 4. We ordered 4 entrees and a single appetizer as well as 3 orders of the different kinds of na'an. So good and loved the place setting and service. They were attentive and kind checking in frequently as well as bring drinks and offering more time to make a decision. Great for family style sharing meals.

Absolutely delicious. The staff are so sweet too.Don’t miss out on any of their saag dishes. Lamb and potato are my favorites. The coconut curries are fantastic as well. Prawn especially.

Of the many Indian/Nepalese places I have tried in Utah, this is my 2nd favorite. It is really good. The flavor was great and the service was pretty good. food came out a little slow but it was worth it. The chicken tandoori was great and so was the shrimp coconut koorma. Naan was good too. The medium spice level was a little bit too much for me but I am a wimp. Would definitely recommend coming!

We visited on Christmas night, when virtually everything else in SLC is closed. They were crazy busy but the staff did a great job keeping things moving. Best Himalayan food I’ve had since I visited Bhutan. The momos were authentic and the Taj Mahal beer served ice cold. We will be back!

Great lunch combos. Delicious! Wish I lived closer so I could get more.
