I went there the first time in years after a job interview last summer. I had not had an alcoholic beverage all day. I was wearing a suit, hardly looking like a bum. I was in the stage of recovery from a serious injury to my left foot. I was walking quickly towards the bar and stumbled a bit on the pavement for the sidewalk. I walked into the bar. The woman at the front accused me of being inebriated because I had stumbled in the sidewalk before I had even entered the bar. She was staring out the door or window. She was vey insistent that I had to sober up and she could not let me in. She did, eventually, allow me to come in. I had one beer and left. I was humiliated, embarrassed and very upset at least at first. I was saddened and felt I was being treated very unfairly.
When I walked in and asked where the menu was, the lady just pointed at the fridge with the smallest selection of pre packaged foods, like pre made salads and packaged sandwiches that you'd find at gas stations. I had no choice but to eat here because I work next door and didn't have my car yesterday. Why would I wanna walk into a "grill" that only serves things I could buy at a gas station? May as well just go to Maverick.
Outstanding spot for Bar food. Arrived at seven, it wasn't crowded. I'll return friends next time. The place has an awesome atmosphere.
Fantastic food and delightful service!
