My fiancé and I, walked in the pastry section to see what was available. We noticed worker (male long ponytail) standing as a greeter. When we walk over to be seated he walked away and began aimlessly wondering around the restaurant. We waited about 3 minutes before I decided to seat myself. As we walked to find seating, a female worker approached us and welcomed us. I told her what just took place. She told me the male was waiting to clock in, (OK). After being seated my fiancé noticed an exchange between the female worker who just seated us and our soon to be server. My fiance who was facing the bar saw the server, who looked over in our direction and rolled her eyes. After that the sever started doing aimlessly wondering and then she came over to our table. Nothing about her implied hospitality. She got our drink order. When she returned we placed our order. After serving us, she never returned to see if we needed anything. I believe the manager brought us our food. At the point my fiancé asked the manager for a cup of ice, because our server had not returned. Once it was time to pay my fiancé gave the server a $100 dollar bill. Not sure why it took her so long to return with our change. I'm sure she had to verify if the money was real, like she probably does with every customer ?. She returned more cheerful and advised she gave me to go cutlery ?. The food was overall okay at best. The customer service was terrible. Absolutely no tip. *****This place is definitely NOT African American friendly.

I can not recommend Gourmandise enough! Davis in the catering department is phenomenal. So are all of the catering staff. There was a big issue at our wedding and Gourmandise dealt with it so well! And all the guests were raving about the food and service.

This place is not owned by a French family like you might think hence the name. It is owned by an ignorant man who does not stand behind his food or pastries and hires unprofessional managers and social media personel.

There cake is sub standard and so is their service.

Gourmandise has great sit down service. The menu is not huge, but we sampled a number of appetizers and entrees and each was delicious. They don’t take reservations, but you can call ahead and find out the wait time, or use their website to put your name on the waitlist. Save room for dessert. The selection is amazing!!!

We quite enjoyed our breakfast here recently on our road trip from Atlanta to Salt Lake City. The portions were large. The food was relatively good - I've had better quiche elsewhere. The service was a little slow since the server seemed to be the your personal barista too. She did make great coffee though! We ordered their pommes frites, croissant breakfast sandwich, quiche du jour and the croque madame. Everything except the quiche was very good and well presented. The service was friendly. if we lived in Utah we would definitely go back.

Heading to Twin Falls, Idaho for a pharmaceutical lecture. Starving, after driving directly to St George airport from a full day at the office. Salt Lake City airport is the worst airport ever designed in modern history. I wish the architects would be sent to purgatory and have to walk the two mile gauntlet daily for eternity. The only redemption... Enter Gourmandise restaurant. Almost French heaven. French cuisine, freshly prepared. Prices are so cheap that you feel guilty ordering 2- 3 extras just to try. Not to mention amazing desserts. Full bar with excellent choices of Sauvignon Blanc. Redemption... Almost forgiveness for slow death at Salt Lake Airport. Enjoy!!!

Every time I visit Salt Lake City, UT Gourmandise is a MUST! This last visit I was not disappointed and I have to say I have never been disappointed. I ordered the Sevillano Steak Salad this go around. It was delicious. Every ingredient is fresh and delightful to the palate. My daughter ordered the French Stew which tasted delectable and the savory flavors were so satisfying. My daughter ordered a latte and Gourmandise delivers a generous amount with a very pleasant coffee. Now my go-to for dessert is always The Peach. I move the peach onto a plate then slowly drizzle the peach syrup over the sugared coated brioche filled with a tasty custard to die for and follow it up with the marzipan leaves and candied orange stem. Don't miss out on this cafe and bakery.

Lovely spot! MUST TRY! Not just as a bakery but for lunch and dinner as well. Fresh, rich ingredients and great portions. Great staff, great ambiance, great taste. Def worth a. Visit when in SLC. Extra generous bday treat was a plus- smile.

Really bright flavors and beautiful textures for Sunday brunch. We had a breakfast sandwich and bacon-egg croissant, just wonderfully prepared and served.
