Chill, laid back atmosphere. Love the food! The twice fried chicken was so tender NOT dry at all.The cowboy burger was awesome.Chipotle mac n cheese was good with a little bit of spice. The meatloaf was very good.PET friendly too. We saw 5 dogs leave while we were there.
When they say the parking sucks, holy moly the parking sucks. There are five actual spots, and then you have to just park in the grass not along the fence. It’s an Experience.Ambiance is cool. There’s a nice patio for dogs outside. Someone was smoking inside, which I wasn’t a fan of and I didn’t think was allowed.I thought they’d have a bigger beer selection, but we all found something. The prices on the menu weren’t the prices we paid, but okay. The funeral potatoes were excellent! The chicken and waffles— man, come hungry because woah. I have a whole breast and a leg leftover. The bread pudding was good but was cold inside.I’d come here again!
As soon as I walked in this place I fell in love. The atmosphere reminds me of living in a Chris Stapleton orTyler childers album cover. The service is extremely friendly and attentive. I will be coming back every chance I get!
Laid back, unpretentious atmosphere. Great place to grab a beer with some friends. Parking out front is limited, but it's not as bad as others claim to be. If your car can clear a 4-5-inch-high curb, you're good.
I am writing this review as I sit at the Garage. Please keep in mind this has been "our" place for many many years, however tonight we are trying to figure out if we need to find a new home.In the last six months the staff turnover has been extremely high. The new staff care less and provide sub par service as the staff that have turned over. Even as regulars we had our IDs checked, but not tonight. The table we sat at was dirty, yet the staff were just standing around complaining so loud that we could hear their conversation. Go luck at the bank Joe, hopefully your happier there. We ordered a drink and they told us that they did not want to move the other kegs to get the one we wanted and we would have to order something different. We placed a food order that after 30 minutes never arrived. Madison (name of the staff from the receipt) forgot to place the order.Eventually we got our food and Madison went back to taking to "skip" who had been in St Louis. Madison then clocked out with out checking in on us. We wanted to let her know that the food we received was not the food we ordered. The fries where under cooked, limb and the presentation made me question if they were edible. After no interaction for a long time Joe came to close us out. I asked for an itemized receipt which she refused, seems a little shady. She told me I could have it after I closed out with a summary number with nothing to support it.The Garage seems to be in a nose dive and the future is not looking great. In the past I have been excited to bring my out of state friends, co-workers and even my own kids..... however I think I will take a break and check back in a few months.
Overpriced, and they lie about the drink prices. Charged us a dollar more than the posted prices for each drink.Food was ok. Nothing tasted bad, but it wasn't amazing either. The Stinger was disappointing, only tasted the meat and nothing else. Funeral potatoes were good, but not worth $2 a pop.Service was good. No complaints there. Just be sure to ask if the prices in the menu are accurate before you order anything. They were Nazis about wearing masks, unfortunately. Because apparently you can't get or spread COVID if you're sitting at a table.
This place is worth figuring out the parking situation. Look closely at the satellite map and you'll see how to park. The brussel sprouts were great as well as the burgers.
If you're looking for a fancy bar, This is not it. Dive bar it is, with some amazing food it is. The burger were juice , the ambiance is mellow with a touch of roadhouse sassiness.. Friendly staff and great place for a beer or 2 . Pet friendly.
Bomb Sunday brunch! The chicken friend steak was delicious and the blueberry pancakes were delicious. Didn’t get pics because they were too delicious to wait. Also had a bloody beer which was delicious too!
This is the best hidden treasure I have found so far in Salt Lake. Every single person I introduce to this place becomes obsessed. From the side of the road it definitely doesn't look like anything special, but once you step inside I guarantee it will forever be on your top 5 favorite places. Definitely try the brunch on Saturday/Sundays (opens at 11am) and order the funeral potatoes and french toast, you can thank me later. ( you're probably reading this thinking that I'm definitely an employee that is just trying to "hype" this place up but honestly this is the ONLY review I have EVER done online because this place deserves it THAT much:) )
