I loved coming here before for the food and chill atmosphere. The staff is always nice... BUT... I feel compelled to write this review because almost 3 weeks ago I lost my bag. I couldn't remember where it could be. Well because of the efforts from them, they were able to reach out to me. I hadn't seen it until later but because they noticed and held onto it I got my bag and wallet back! Many things can be replaced but this bag was a gift and it hurt dearly to lose it. Thank you all so much for keeping a hold of it and making a effort to reach me. This place has great good and amazing staff!

I’ve eaten at Even Stevens approximately 7 times over the past 6-7 months, and gave it a last chance today. I’ve gone this many times because it is my partner’s go-to for a breakfast burrito, and we like to give local small businesses a fighting chance. My opinion is that the food is bland, tastes old, and is overall uninspired. I would say that this is comparable to cafeteria food based on all 7 experiences. All the sauces I’ve tasted are extremely bland and need at least double the seasoning. Especially the beer cheese. It is basically cheese water and tastes like nothing. The tater tots are always dried out but somehow mushy too. I believe they bake the tots instead of frying, which isn’t doing anyone favors. If I am going to have carbs and fat I’d like it to be worth it. The breakfast burritos always have a musty aftertaste and end up a saucy dripping mess. The sandwiches are bland and dry. I’ve recently been diagnosed with Celiac and thought I’d try their gluten free bread. It’s not bad in taste, but is so mushy that it falls apart in tiny chunks so I end up eating a mushy bready mess of a sandwich with a fork. Today when I got my breakfast sandwich, I just threw away their gluten free bread and grabbed an UDI’s bun from my freezer instead because it had molded into a mushy ball on top of the eggs. I highly recommend they bring in a chef as a consultant and revamp their entire menu. There is definitely some potential here, but there are way better places to get a sandwich and breakfast foods.

These guys were hustling today! Anja? (not sure if I got his name right - I needed my glasses) at the Sugarhouse location was on it and paying attention to everyone at the same time. Does this dude have eyes in the back of his head. WOW!! They were so busy - about 25 min wait. Glad I ordered online cause I was in a rush. I still waited about 15 min but he recognized me (regular lunch breaker) and let me know a rough time frame. He is so polite to everyone and can do 5 jobs at once. Give this guy a raise! Give the cook a raise too! I always see him back there working so hard. My sandwich looked amazing today and totally hit the spot.

We ate lunch here on a Sunday afternoon and the location was busy. The restaurant is popular with locals. Overall the sandwiches were very good (far better than chain sandwich shops) and staff were very friendly. This particular location seemed to be in an old gas station or something similar. The front of the restaurant was two large garage doors. It definitely gave the place a relaxed vibe. If you're in the area I'd recommend trying them out.

I had the pot rst dip it was so good.. I had to wait a bit but worth the wait..

Went in to order five sandwiches for takeout. Two of them were roast dip sandwiches and didn’t find out until I got home that neither of them had the au jus. Not only were my boys unhappy with the sandwiches, ES wasn’t answering their phone when I tried to call to see what could be done. Disappointing.

Called before 5:40 pm, multiple times today. With no answer. Headed down to the restaurant to make my order in person instead got there around 5:42pm, and the building is locked with people inside cleaning. They’ve literally been ignoring my calls and closed early. It says online that they close at 6pm on sundays. If they’re closed early, they can at least answer a call to let me know before I waste my time to drive down there. Just so everyone there can watch me trying to open a locked door and act like I don’t even exist. If you’re going to close early, at least answer your phone and let me know. Don’t be rude. Seriously so annoying. The sad part is that I actually enjoy even stevens but honestly this has happened a few times to me and my boyfriend at this location. We live nearby in sugarhouse but often we encounter that they’ll be closed earlier on than their hours posted online. If you want to order from even stevens try to get there at least a couple hours before it says they’re closed. ?

The sandwiches are pretty good, albeit expensive for their size. The side salads are pretty pathetic (pretty much just lettuce). The side pickle can range from really big to really small. And not a fan of a sandwich joint that charges $12 and then asks for a tip...but that's increasing the norm these days. All in all..I still eat here a fair bit, but less and less as I've found better options

Ordered online to pick up lunch after a really long hike and it was delicious. We got the turkey sandwich with tots on the side. The one that tasted like Thanksgiving with the cran-jalapeno sauce. We also got the Mihami, super unique and so tasty. The breakfast burrito was also amazing. The tots were great. Loved the spicy jalapeno sauce on the side. They were super friendly when we came to pick it up. There was plenty of sitting outside. It looks like a really cool vibe. Huge plus that they use compostable to go containers. Super sustainable. We love thatWill definitely be back

Anang was SO nice, friendly and helpful in helping us pick a sandwich that would work best for our hike tomorrow. Our wait was only 5-7 minutes.
