Currently my favorite place to eat in Salt Lake City!I have to admit a big part of that is because I have celiac and East Liberty Tap House has the lowest risk of cross-contamination of anywhere I've found in the city. The only gluten they have in the kitchen is hamburger buns, and they have the option for gluten free buns. If you're craving a burger, this is the place to go.And the best part? The food is genuinely delicious even though it's gluten free!My favorites are of course the burgers but I also recommend the trout tacos if you like smoked fish. And they have seasonal cocktails, another reason to go back again and again. The chips and fries are unfortunately only okay. Once the fries cool down they're almost inedible, but while they're hot they're excellent so make sure to eat those first.East Liberty Tap House is technically a bar, which means 21+ only, but for us adults that's a benefit! It's the perfect place to drink and get anything from a snack to a full meal. You can't miss out on this place!
Average food and service. Prices are ok for that area. It should be much better for that environment but people consume anything, so no need to progress.
This place has a great ambiance and very nice patio. We went for brunch and I had the chicken sandwich, which was decent. My wife got the veggie burger which she enjoyed. The fries were outstanding and the mimosas were great. Worth checking out if you’re in the 9th/9th area.
Great beer selection! The vibes inside/outside are also great. We always bring people here when they are visiting. The food/drinks are moderately priced so you won't have too overwhelming of a bill after some drinks and good food. Everything on the menu is amazing, even the veggie burger was liked by our big meat eaters. You won't be disappointed with anything you get on the menu. Portion sizes are small. Love this place though! Great service as well.
Great location but really small. Kind of weird that for dinner on a busy weeknight, there were large parties and then singles hunkered down working on laptops like they were at a coffee shop. The chips and qeuso were unique but not sure I’d order it again. The burger and fries were good, tasty and somewhat creative. The wait process was interesting. They have zero waiting room (when you walk in you’re basically standing next to people eating) so you give your name and they text you when your table is ready. It was in the 20s and we had to park a ways away so we sat outside and nearly froze. The service was fairly average, the waiter seemed like he was going through the motions-not particularly excited to be working there. Overall the food is fairly good for slc standards.
We’ve eaten here a few times before and the food was always mediocre. They must have made some changes in the kitchen because we ate here last night and the food was fantastic. We both got burgers and fries. The meat was high quality and cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy, fresh, and hot. Ambiance and service were both great.
I run by this place all the time on my way to the east foothills so naturally it’s a restaurant I wanted to try out. Right away I noticed a star next to the Smoked Trout Tacos so naturally my brain thought it was a specialty item and I must try it (as it turns out the stars are just a disclaimer for seafood and fish menu items.) Fortunately, the taco’s might as well been a specialty item because they were delicious! I was a little disappointed the meal only came with 2 tacos instead of the standard 3 but nonetheless, I’ll be back for more. Thanks East Liberty Tap House and team.
I love East Liberty! I just can’t stop coming here! Everything on the menu is great (I think I’ve tried almost everything), the drinks are delicious, and staff is always wonderful. I usually sit outside near the fire pits, but last time I had the pleasure of sitting inside and seeing how cute the inside is! Seriously, I can’t get enough of this place!
They make the only burgers I crave in Salt Lake. Owned, managed, and employed heavily by women. The BEST patio in SLC and one of the most curated liquor menus (albeit small, though hugely expansive) in town. They only employ the most personable and stylish staff (FOH and BOH). ;) I love this place.
I really like this place. Initially I wanted to give it a 4 star because of the sloopy mushroom. I'm trying to stick with vegetarian options but could only eat half because it was too saucy... overwhelmed by the sauce. Next time Ill try the califlower tacos. A couple of pints of lager draft beer helped, along with their fries.
