Such a fun place to get a donut and coffee with a friend on a Sunday. Staff was friendly and the place was very clean. Had a pb & j bismark and it was loaded with jelly. Will be back to try the chicken sandwich
We biked over and are so happy to have a diner next door to the movie theater. Very kitchy decor and I feel like I'm sitting in a diner from my childhood!Coffee is from Millcreek Roasters and happy to see a full service espresso bar. Their cocktails are very reasonably priced, and I really enjoyed the Morning Tea. I love that they also have local and domestic beers.I agree with others that this is more of a diner than a donutshop. Donuts were really good, but not a huge assortment. I love that I can sit down with my kids and have an espresso, or coffee cocktail, while they enjoy their donuts! We also ordered the breakfast sandwiches, which were a great value and served with hush puppies. Very satisfied overall, and will be back for the Wine Down Wednesdays!
Having a multi generation military family it is disappointing to see any USA ?? Flag flown at same height, it would be better to just take it down then to disgrace it. Cute restaurant but seem very politically motivated. I just wanted good food from a welcoming friendly restaurant. Ruined ? my meal. My family died for their right to do this, and my family has right to never go back.
This place deserves more than its rated on google. I have had donuts all over the valley and these are among the best for quality. They have some basics but the donuts are more niche and that is great because the flavors work. The cool thing about this place is the variety of menu options beyond donuts and drinks. Their team seems eager to make a good customer experience so give them a chance. They have a differentiated concept and vibe and wish them success.
Fun new vibe of a place where else can you buy a donut and beer? They have done a great job and remodeling the building and making this place a fun want to sit down and enjoy a meal feel.I went for an apple fritter and it was delicious. They have many meal options to peak your interest and a drive thru if your in a rush.Worth the stop in to enjoy!
Dolly Donuts is a homage to the diners of the 1950's. It serves breakfasts as well as the pastries in the business name. We thought their donuts were very good, especially if you like cake donuts. Our favorites were the peanut butter and jelly (image a peanut butter and jelly sandwich but the bread is replaced with a donut.....delicious), chocolate bismark, chocolate cake donut, and a cereal topped cake donut. For an added twist, you can also order an alcoholic beverage if you would like. It's nice to have a fresh donut place located in the Holladay area. We'll return when we need a fresh donut.
Not sure why this place is getting such bad reviews :( I just tried them this morning and honestly the donut I tried was one of the best in the state! It was a blueberry cake donut with white icing and poppyseeds? everyone was so friendly too! Loved the service and the donuts were fresh! I can't speak to the food I only ordered donuts but will definitely be back!?
The food is very fresh and delicious! We started with donuts... jelly-filled, old fashioned and a coffee cake donut. Each was yummy in its own way! My wife & I had the Breakfast Sandwich while my mother had the Avocado Toast. Each entree was cooked to order and very fresh. Their breakfast potatoes were crispy on the outside with a creamy interior and seasoned with a slight hint of rosemary... probably my favorite part of the meal!
Drove by and saw the doughnuts sign and when I got inside I was surprised to learn that they had a liquor license and offer alcohol with breakfast and lunch. The doughnuts were fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back to dine in!
To start, we really want this place to be successful since it’s so cute and in our neighborhood. With that said, they are all over the place!!1- They should really be called Dolly’s DINER and (some) Donuts. The donut selection is limited and quite frankly, not the “Worlds greatest donuts” as advertised in their store. We have tried them twice now and your gas station donuts are better. For the best donuts, go to Fresh down the street. Also, I appreciate that they changed their donut menu on line and put a disclaimer that not all are available.2- The food is subpar and best. Our group tried breakfast options because we thought, how can you mess up breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were far too salty. The avocado toastwas sad and nothing special. The breakfast sandwich eggs looked like a child scrambled them. All in all, nothing special that it made us want to come back.3- We ordered a couple adult beverages and both were terrible and not worth the price. The Bloody Mary was tomato juice and a shot. The Irish coffee was requested Iced, let’s just say they threw a couple ice cubes in a mug.Lastly, the service, we had a couple servers, all very inexperienced (and that’s ok) but we had just gotten our food when the server requested for us to pay. So, we had to wait to eat while he had a battle with the iPad. Also, when we came for donuts, we requested a half dozen, but immediately started putting them all in a bag. Confused, we asked for a box and they lazily told us that they needed to go make one.Unfortunately, unless there are drastic changes made to improve this new spot, it was a total bust for us!
