We miss the Curry Up Now in Midvale! This was our 1st time at the downtown location. The restaurant is nice inside and has outdoor seating as well. My husband had the deconstructed samosa with chicken at level 7 spiciness and I had the deconstructed samosa aloo Gobi mild. Both were delicious! We are glad we can still have the opportunity to eat their food even if it involves a trip downtown. We also like the samosa appetizer to take home to eat later. Oh, by the way, this location also serves wine, beer, spirits and cocktails.
Tasty Indian Street Food in a low-key environment with lots of space between tables and Indian music playing.Next door is a bar - Mortar and Pestle. It wasn't open, but has a great classic - retro - vibe.
The food was awesome! Definitely worth eating there. It's down town salt lake so the parking is a little rough and they only have diet drinks which, for thick American like me, was a slight negative. But over all, really good food.
Went today went to the bar in the back very intimate very cool back there Kat was our server and bartender she was excellent her music playlist was also very good made the experience there even more enjoyable and the food was really really good if you don’t drink they have non alcoholic drinks to the bar very romantic place really cool there I highly recommend it
We ordered the Holy Moly Fried Ravioli, Aloo Gobi khathi roll, Kapoor and sons thali and ghee makhni butter bowl. The bowl tasted awesome but the quantity of rice was extremely less. Saag paneer that was a part of the thaali would probably be enjoyed by people that like the slight bitterness associated with spinach? We didn't enjoy it at all. The quantity of the thali was filling though. The aaloo Gobi khathi roll was just bad/bland. Weird tasting masala, no salt, worst kaathi roll I've ever tasted. Overall, okay place medium pricing.
Franco had a great recommendation on the Ghee Malhni butter burrito and the Chai is wonderful. Thankful for the cooks as well. The food was delicious and mindfully prepared.Cheers!
My husband and I lived in Abu Dhabi and traveled to New Delhi India - and I can say this is the best Punjabi style curry spot we have found in the SLC metro hands down. Fast, delicious, and authentic. As someone who cannot live without good curry in my life, there was not a single we tried that wasn't fantastic. 10/10.
This is an amazing spot and the perfect place to bring others to try Indian food for the first time. I recommend the Naughty Naan or any of the burritos. If you're scared of a little spice, feel free to let them know so they can help you choose the right option!
Fancy and attractive place, but the main purpose of restaurant is to serve quality food which they clearly don’t. We ordered naughty naan, Naan was soaked in oil because they pour tikka masala curry on it. Service was not good either served dips in the very end while we were ready to leave. Lentil halwa was okay, but not as described. Not authentic Indian cuisine. Will not recommend to anyone.
I was quite surprised by this place. You pull up and it is in a modern graffiti building. The music is moder. which is different from the usual. It looks like fast food inside by the food is amazing! Tons of food and a great price. I am keto and they even had a keto friendly option which is a bonus. I will definitely eat here again.
