First, the decor is straight out of animal crossing. It's all pink and cute with heart shaped chairs, everything you could ever need. Everything is cute. The food, the drink (before i stirred it), the lighting, everything was just adorable. Second, literally the best matcha I've ever had. It's perfectly strong and sweet, and they have oat milk. The strawberry cake is also amazing, and i can't wait to try the chocolate.
The ube cake was yummy, my only issue is that it felt like 75% icing 25% cake, it’s a little disappointing because the cake was very soft and moist and I would’ve loved to enjoy more of the cake itself. It does have great flavor though. The strawberry shortcake was delightful, fresh strawberries and not too sweet which was very pleasant as well as airy.
We’ve heard nothing but great things about this cute bakery & had to come try it for ourselves. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. The shop was clean and overall vibe was picturesque, worthy of any IG or blog post.I ended up getting the ube cake & passion fruit cream cheese donut & they were delectable! Best ube cake I’ve had so far! The passion fruit donut was well balanced & the flavors complimented each other. I’ll definitely be back ??
I love Chubby Baker! It is my favorite place in Salt Lake City for a sweet treat. They make my very favorite cake in the world it is called the Chubby Tiger cake and I can’t recommend it enough. Everyone who works there is so nice! Please support them and try out their tasty treats!

It is perfectly fluffy and the bananas are fresh.My wife got the Chubby Tiger Cake (pictured). This one is a complex and multi-faceted dessert. If you want something rich but not overwhelming, I suggest you try it.One of the best desserts I’ve had in SLC to date.
Awesome bakery! I had the lychee donut and my god it was good. The passion fruit my partner got took a close second. The hot guava and raspberry Nutella were great as well. Really good quality ingredients and I will be back!
I finally tried this place and WOW!!!!! Amazing. I’m sure anything on the menu is incredible. I will be back and bringing everyone I know (not all at once, Covid). LolTry the passion fruit cream cheese donut!
I’ve been salivating over Chubby Baker’s donuts over Instagram for a while and today I was finally able to make it over. They. Are. Incredible! Not disappointed in the slightest. The employees were the sweetest, too. So glad I made the trip!

Hmmmm… I’ve given Chubby Baker a couple of go’s and I’ve settled on not really making any more trips. Listen, unfortunately they branded themself as a “donut and cafe shop” to have your filled donuts ready everyday at 1pm is kinda lame considering it’s a breakfast staple. I understand to have donuts ready for the morning takes some sacrifice and dedication. Based of this I don’t think the business will succeed in the long run. The times I have had the filled donuts they were nothing to moan over. For todays order I wold rate it as the following—Sugar Ring Donut - 2/5Butterfinger Ring Donut- 2/5Brown Butter Donut l- 3/5Banana Pudding- 4/5Hot Dark Chocolate- 4/5Iced Ube Late- 3/5Service- 3/5My major issues with the donuts is that they taste mostly of the frying oil and not the yeast and I’m not a fan of a crunch skin. Should be light and fluffy throughout. Additionally the sweet to salty ratios in the filled donuts seem to be off. As for the iced drinks, 90% ice 10% drink which is annoying.Give them a try but don’t expect to make it a regular spot.
