Some of the most authentic and high quality Thai cuisine I've ever had. Small cozy restaurant. They are so friendly and very accommodating. I wish they were open 7 days a week I'd give 6 stars if i could. I'd move to Utah just so I could eat here. This place is seriously top notch. I typically get dinner and also lunch for the next day so I git to try a few different dishes. The tomkha soup was definitely one of the best I've had. The prices and portions were great. I loved that they offered thai spicy options which differs greatly from the American spicy option. Just an over all great experience. They offer alot of information about the culture within the menu. They are a small restaurant but offer outdoor seating and do other services like catering for weddings, even help you to plan a trip to Thailand.Watch out for busy times with limited seating it may take a bit to get a table but their turnover rate is pretty quick and totally worth it.If you're in the area or just visiting this place is an absolute must!!!
100% the best Thai restaurant in SLC. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. The food is exceptionally flavorful and fresh. Really, this places stands above SLC’s many average Thai restaurants. Generous servings, reasonable prices, and kind staff/owners. Eat in for the best experience. Pad Thai is solid, but chicken larb, beef panang curry, and moo yang stand out.
Look no further for incredibly authentic Thai food. There are 3 generations in the kitchen working to make you a wonderful meal. And they all treat you like you are a part of the family. The waitress writes your order on the notepad in Thai.A warning: Authentic Thai food is quite spicy.A second warning: their coconut ice cream is the best ice cream I have ever eaten, it will ruin all other ice cream for you
My first visit there with my wife was phenomenal - great food, friendly staff, and they shared some delicious Kombucha samples. So much so that decided to go out of our way to go there again this past Friday night, which is saying a lot given the choice of Thai places around. We were pushing for time, as their website and Google said they closed at 8:30. We arrived at 8:15, were seated, then the waitress abruptly came back, said they were closed and took back our menus. No apologies, she just walked away. Now, I understand if they wanted to close early on a slow night. There were only 3 other groups still there, but at least be civil about it. That left a poor taste and we don’t plan to return.
Incredible cuisine and stellar service! The atmosphere is warm and cozy and I felt very at home. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. The menus are informative and educational. Cannot recommend Chanon Thai Cafe enough!
This is our favorite Thai restaurant! Great service, good prices and the best Thai food around. All curries are fantastic!
Best Thai Food in town. The place is small so we always try to arrive when they open to get a table fast. The food and service is always on point!
Good? Yes. Great? No. Not much to say except they have a huge selection, the food is good, it feels authentic, good service. If you want a solid Thai dining experience, this place usually delivers. Don’t expect your socks to be knocked off.
Solid home style Thai. The larb chicken is the best that I've had; juicy, flavorful and served with fresh veggies. This place does get busy. Our takeout order took about an hour so I'd definitely recommend placing your order online well ahead of time.
Very chaotic restaurant, slow service - but we came for the food. Spring rolls were very average (frozen maybe?) but curries were great. The only thing that I would change about the curry options is more spicy curries. I love spicy food and i would love something with good heat. We might come back!
