Cafe Shambala never disappoints. Their food is full of flavor and fresh. Love seeing fresh vegetables being chopped in the back. Great take out option, the food travels well. Their momos are delicious fried or steamed, however I always ask for extra dipping sauce. Friendly service and delicious food. Highly recommend. Photo is the veggie curry and half order of momos.

Delicious food at a humbly owned family restaurant. Since they are owned by a family, service could be slow but don't be afraid to walk up and ask for a to-go box. You also walk up to the cash register to pay for your food at the end, no check is given, so just some heads ups. They also make their food fresh! The wait is worth it for fresh delicious, home-cooked food. So glad they are opened because the other Tibetan restaurant closed permanently and I was sad I wouldn't be able to find another Tibetan restaurant. But SLC was blessed with this one!

This is my new favourite restaurant in SLC!! I got the veggie plate with steamed momos and lentil soup (only $11.25 and $2.75!!), it is DELICIOUS, and the serving is big enough for three meals. The spicy sauce and ginger sauce on the tables are so delicious. Everything is made fresh. Beautiful Tibetan music, kind staff, peaceful atmosphere. This is my new regular spot. I feel like a took a lovely little vacation. Thankful for such a nice lunch

It isn't only vegetarian. My wife and I each had different chicken dishes. Which were delicious. Loved their Momo's. They are a type of dumpling.

Tibetan food with affordable prices. 5 min from temple square. Service is fast and friendly staff. Everything is freshly made, even the tea. Serves chai. Plays local music.

Delicious fresh food made fast! I love Momos!!!! I brought them back home with me to the east coast.

We lived almost solely off food from Cafe Shambala for a few months while renovating. Reliably clean eating, yummy, enormous portions, reasonable prices. The lunch buffet is a hit with my vegan friends. I'd come here for my anniversary too! Love getting to know the family of staff and their culture.

First time trying Tibetan food and it was delicious. Great service too, very friendly.

The food was very disappointing, the service was good. I’ve had Tibetan food in China before and this does not compare in authenticity. But without disputing authenticity - the flavors are bland, mushrooms undercooked and beef over cooked. Ambience similar to food

Flew into town this morning and was looking for a place to eat lunch. Great choice! Great food! Great service!
