The pupusas were actually good. However avoid the yuca con chicharrones. I was disappointed at how horrible that dish was and surprised they decided to serve it to me the way it was. Pure pork fat. The service is okay, they forgot a lot of what we ordered and brought us food we didn’t order. Overall, I probably will look for pupusas elsewhere.
New owners. Place has been nicely remodeled with counter seating available.However the pupusa recipe has changed from previously. Now they are mostly dough with very little filling; hardly any cheese, meat or beans. Whereas before they were golden browned and soft, now the outside is crispy.They give you a small amount of curtido topping and sauce.While they were not bad, they were not as flavorful as those made under the former owners.I wish them the best though as I know these are tough times.
I was craving a pupusa after work and saw this spot right on my way. I got the revuelta and it was so so good. The meat was perfectly cooked, right amount of cheese, and the pupusa itself was well cooked and soft with that nice blistered exterior. The woman who helped me was also very kind. Just a nice genuine spot. Coming back for a tlayuda ASAP.
Small place but great food. The pupusas are the best!! If you want to eat good Salvadorian food, this is the right place!!!
Don’t let the Stellar Wings name fool you— this is the Cafe Guanaco! Since I moved to SLC in 2018, this has been my favorite place to get food, the pupusas are phenomenal
SO good. The pupusas exceeded our expectations and the value for your money is exceptional. The juices are amazing too! All in all a delicious dining experience!
The building says Stellar Wings, but don't let that confuse you for the amazing Mexican and El Salvadoran food here! Amazing service and food, it is a hidden gem.

BEST PAPUSA SELECTION I HAVE EVER HAD!Not going to lie, nothing will be able to replace my sisters handmade papusa recipe back in California, but this could be a close runner up!I can’t have flour so I use the rice flour and then I have beans and rice or anything vegetarian and vegan, nothing that will upset my stomach with my weird allergies!!
