Definitely a great cocktail bar when stopping by in Salt Lake City. Centric and accessible so it was a must for me during a night layover. After reading all the fun comments about this place I immediately rushed there as soon as they opened at 18:00. As a flight attendant, we must take full advantage of our time when visiting cities and often we get to do this things on our own if not accompanied by anyone else from our crew, but going there was the opposite of fun. Music was down, bartender were not chatty and even if going in early, I had a purpose… of enjoying all the things people talked about and have a great cocktail.I started with a gin based cocktail called Moon River. It was great. Well balanced and refreshing (picture #2)Followed by a bar creation under the directions of Roulette as it seemed as the most mysterious item on their menu (picture #1) which was also gin based and had a spectacular flavor that brought memories of eating red grapefruit in the Caribbean.Overall, a good experience with the cocktails, a not so good on the ambiance. Wouldn’t mind going back for a cocktail if I spend the night in the city again.

Loved my experience at Bar-X. Was visiting Utah from Brooklyn, NY and was recommended the spot as something that would fit the same vibe and it didn't disappoint. Was a low-key spot with a great aesthetic that offered nice $10 cocktails. Highly-recommend giving the skilled bartenders free-reign with the "Roullete" drink choice on the menu. They cooked up some unique, tasty cocktails that were GREAT. Will definitely visit again if I find myself back in SLC.

Amazing atmosphere. The vintage feel and lo light make an easygoing experience. The liquors and liqueurs are top not, a selection that included many I haven't heard of.The drink are second to none, thanks to the serious expertise of the bartender. Knowledgeable, friendly, and all around amazing staff really made the cake for this speakeasy

The bar was nice, the atmosphere was a little off because of how bad the bartender smelled. He was drenched in sweat, and his odor was jarring. People were leaving because of the smell. I believe his name was Cameron. I get it was busy, but it was pretty hard to ignore…..

The cocktails have weird names and the bartender made me say it out loud the actual name but they make some good drink with rum or cognac tbh

Garret behind the bar was very personable and my friend Kelly & I had a great girls night here! Amazing New York sours! 10/10 time ?

Super unique place with great cocktails and friendly and engaging staff. Fun night

Great place to enjoy a drink. Really like the remodel.

Worst bar tenders, ever. I asked for a water and the guy pointed at the water for me to go get it myself… my friend bought us a round of shots and the bar tender told him a $5 tip for 2 shots was not enough… excuse me?! He refused to serve us another shot unless he tipped him more? DO NOT come here.

Knowledgeable bartenders who are super chill and friendly. I went with the Roulette and got a deliciously nutty drink that was perfect for fall weather.
