I don’t understand the recent low ratings. If they want quantity over quality, then go to Panda Express or some other fast food Chinese place. This is a sit down restaurant…of course prices will be higher than fast food. Shoots serves family style sized portions where you order a few entrees for a family and everyone shares. So far they are the best tasting Chinese food I’ve found in Utah County. Their tangerine chicken and Mongolian beef are amazing, and the chow mein is truly delightful. I’ve had two of their soups, both of which were really good. I’ve had several other entrees, all of which were great. I’ve been a repeat customer and will continue to come whenever I want better quality than something like Panda Express.
$15 for what looks like a lame lunch portion (Black Pepper Beef). This was the dinner portion of meat… I put every piece of meat from the griddle to the plate when it came out to see how unbalanced the meal was. Green peppers and onions made up most of the plate. I was so disappointed I am leaving a review, which I have done only once for any restaurant I’ve been to. Waitress gave me my food and never returned to check in until I asked for my check. I actually remember going here for take out on New Years a couple of years ago. My family of four was still hungry after 4 entrees and an appetizer. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for it being a holiday but I will never return after this visit. Money vs. service- not impressed.
Really, really love Shoots! If we're eating Chinese cuisine in Utah Valley it's at Shoots. Food is always spot on. Light and inviting. They will make accommodation for my celiac condition - thank you! The service staff is friendly and efficient just as it should be. Set against the backdrop of beautiful Provo canyon we always have a great experience at Shoots!
I found this place during quarantine and became obsessed! The service is always good! The food is always so so good! Every time we come it’s always exciting. Sarah helps us out a lot when we have come and she’s always so sweet and gives excellent service! The won ton chips are a great appetizer!
Chicken and plain noodles tasted like fish, cross contamination was an issue. My husband paid while we were finishing up and I was nursing my son. We were told we had to leave right then because we had paid and someone else needed the table. I am very irritated with the quality of food and being told to leave and not being able to finish feeding my son.
A cozy Chinese restaurant in the Riverwoods complex. Friendly staff, cozy ambience and delicious food. The Salt and Pepper Shrimp is excellent
This place is pretty good. As others have mentioned, the portions are small. In our plate that had broccoli, we got 3 small pieces. Firecracker chicken was really good, everything else was okay.
Tangerine chicken is delicious. Lightly breaded, crispy, sweet. Chicken lo mein has great flavor. The friendliest staff. Fast service. Some of the best Chinese food around. I also love that you can order a dish like sweet and sour chicken without the breading on the chicken if you prefer it that way. Delicious. Affordable.
Best Chinese in utah. By far. We love this place, the portions are smaller for some items, but the food is just so good and we always leave full.
Got the Hot Garlic Chicken and it was absolutely amazing! The dish is very flavorful and savory, I’ve never had anything quite like it. My husband got the Honey Walnut and it was delicious as well. The waiters are very kind and polite and the wait wasn’t long. A very good place for Chinese food, will definitely come again!
