After coming here twice, I said the same thing I say for other BBQ joints in Utah, "meh". None of the meats are particularly flavorful, and the iconic R&R sauces are all sugar, no spice, even the spicy one. The Mac and cheese barely had any cheese on it, but helped with the blandness of the other food. The pulled pork was more moist than the other meats, but isn't great. The andouille sausage was spicy and was a bright spot on the plate, but the brisket was truly terrible. I have never seen such a dry piece of meat before. Even when I smashed it under my fork it was dry as sin. It tasted about as good as I imagined, and I had to cover it in queso just to make it edible. Most of the plate was inoffensive but bland, but the Brisket was an insult. As a Texan, I am shocked to see the "award winning" claims.

What an awesome atmosphere and really good food. They definitely have the seasoning balance right on their chicken. The staff did a great job of being friendly and ready to help. A true 5 out of 5 star experience.

Let's see what kind of reply I am getting...]Seriously avoid this place...I ordered takeouts a few times and EVERY SINGLE TIME, they misplaced something, wrong sources, sides, or even meets.Today, I picked up my food and realized (at home) that my rib was substituted by chichen. I called the restaurant but the response was "we were out of ribs so we put the same weight of chichen..."Okay... first at least tell me at the pickup they did so.Second, the kids there probably do not know chicken thighs are cheaper than ribs. At least let me choose the substitute.I asked the refund but they said there was no way to refund because I ordered through a third party app... What a joke.I will never order here and do not recommend. I would drive a few extra minutes and go to the smoking apple instead.
First time trying out this place yesterday (or it would have been). Unfortunately they were out of 80% of their menu. They had 3 types of meat left? It was weird. Ill totally give the benefit of the doubt though and assume the supply chain being messy right now is the cause of this. I may or may not make it down to try their food again one day. Smelled good, anyhow!
Seriously. 3rd visit, I swear, this company does not sell meat. Cheapest place I've ever been to. What kind of place gives you 70% wads of fat in a 13 dollar smoked MEAT sandwich? 3 times out of 3 this place. Only ever coming back for your sauce, you could care less about the food you serve.This is what 13 bucks gets you here.
We have loved R&R in the past, used to go more often but haven’t been in a year or so. Went for a birthday date today, and the meat was cold- I mean maybe room temperature if I’m being generous. Tasted great as always, but still disappointing. Music too loud to hear the cashier, we both had to repeat ourselves several times over. Also my 1 meat plate had the same amount of meat as my husband’s 2 meat plate. He had like 6-7 chunks of brisket (and a few slices of turkey) where I had double that brisket easily. Shouldn’t have cost more for 2 meats. I will say their sides are portioned generously (at least compared to wallaby’s)Side note, I have always felt that the plates should come with a standard 2 sides instead of one- one doesn’t seem like a full meal. however I have always been willing to overlook that in the past because of the quality. Unfortunately today changed my mind. Will be a harder decision next time we think of going to R&R.
This place was great. We went to an early dinner so there was no crowd. The fiid was excellent. Pulled pork was amazing and had the best sweet potato fries I have ever had. The manager, I think his name was Trevor, was so friendly! We are very careful about eating out with Covid and it was so amazing to have such friendly service during these stressful times. He really went the extra mile and it made our dining out a terrific time. I highly recommend this bbq place. Great food, great service!
