I really wish I could give Pizza Pie Cafe a better review because it used to be a great place but it has really gone downhill in the past few years. I might consider it a 2 star just for nostalgia sake... Anyway, there is never any pizza available to eat. I also have to wait for them to bring a new pizza out, only for it to be gone within a few minutes. They seemed to have changed the recipe for a few pizzas making them worse, for example the firehouse or fireman pizza. The plates and utensils are all dirty... that is just disgusting. In the bathroom, one sink didn't work while the other sink was clogged internally and would fill up before I could finish washing my hands. The soap smelled like a compost pile, I regretted washing my hands with that soap; it was so bad it made me not want to eat any food afterwards.I haven't been to Pizza Pie Cafe for a while because I was living out of town for the past few years. It must have gone under new management or maybe it is following the trend of most restaurants in the last couple years with covid and no one wanting to work and just destroying its own reputation. Whatever it is, I don't think I will be coming back to Pizza Pie Cafe which is a real shame because it used to be a great place to eat.

Overall: I was very disappointed and would not recommend it to those who need to follow a gluten free diet.I ordered a gluten free pizza (classic pepperoni) and also paid for the buffet because I was told there was gluten free pasta available. The pizza was a thin crust with so little sauce I could hardly taste it. (See pictures)The salad area was as dangerous for someone with food restrictions as you would expect. I avoided the salad dressing with the crouton obviously floating in it.The pasta bar was unattended for most of the time I was there. I saw someone manning it as I was about to leave so I asked about the gluten free pasta. The gluten free pasta is cooked separately from the rest of the pastas. All the sauces are self-serve, so there is a good chance of contamination through ladle-to-pasta contact. Also from looking online I'm fairly certain not all the sauces are gluten free but there was no labeling at the restaurant itself.I went with my family during lunch. They were short staffed and there were "we're hiring" signs around. Perhaps that was why things were particularly slow? It took over 30 minutes for my gluten free pizza to be brought to our table after if ordered it. My kids who don't need to eat gluten free enjoyed the buffet and were basically done eating by that point.

I was very excited to be coming today after many years of not coming as this was one of my favorite cheap places to eat at in my early twenties. Boy was I disappointed! We came in with my husband and baby on a Thursday at 7pm. There were less than 20 people in the restaurant yet we couldn’t find a single clean table. I had to ask someone to wipe one for me. Some of the pizza looked old and like it had been sitting there for a while. The salad bar choices got significantly smaller and the salad looked old. The whole place was so dirty that I couldn’t stand sitting there for long. We ate in about 30 minutes and left. During the whole time we were there not one table was picked up and cleaned. I can’t even describe how nasty the floors looked. The area on the floor behind the pizza bar was full of salad that employees kept walking on top off and no one would sweep! So so so so disappointed and disgusted! Management please train your employees to quit standing around the bar and get out to clean.

I went here for a grandson's birthday party. As a person on a seriously limited diet, I don't usually go out to eat. I was pleasantly surprised to find a salad bar with a nice selection of ingredients. I had a piece of pizza because of peer pressure.. Yeah-peer pressure-and enjoyed it.Grandson reported the Oreo pizza was great, but that's a line I wouldn't cross. Overall this was a nice place to eat and well worth the money.

In the category of cheap buffets, the PPC is a shining 5 star. It’s the most bang for your buck restaurant that I know of. It’s CHEAP, and the fresh pizza SO good! Their dessert pizzas feel like they should be illegal they are so good!Local pro tip: Don’t get it if it’s not fresh, It’s the best when it’s fresh.

Can get a bit loud and busy when there's tons of kids for parties (can't blame them too much). Pizza is a step or two above Little Caesars, won't be complaining when you're 10 slices in though. Usually the staff is pretty good at keeping tables clean and serving up fresh pizza constantly. Not the most romantic night out place, but if you bring the right people, you'll be having just as much fun as the kids ?

Don't go here on a slow day. The pizza had been sitting under a heat lamp for who knows how long, as they only make more pizzas when what's on the shelf runs out. So if there's only a dozen people in the restaurant, the pizzas sit out for hours before getting replaced. The crust was very tough and it was just kinda gross. This place is pretty decent when it's busy enough that the pizza is fresh. Management should add a time limit to how long a pizza can sit out under a heat lamp before the entire thing needs to be replaced, due to quality control issues.According to the FDA, "If the buffet is held in a place where the temperature is above 90 °F, the safe holding time is reduced to 1 hour." Unless the heat lamps were keeping the pizza at or above 140 F, which I very much doubt based on how warm (yes, warm - not hot) the cheese pizza I ate was, I very much doubt the food is being kept at a safe temperature. This is possibly a health concern as well.

What happened to Pizza Pie Cafe Provo? I used to eat here once a week before we moved to a city with no PPC. I love their salad bar, pasta bar and dessert pizzas. Their pizza is only good if fresh. My visit today was very disappointing. The place is dirty, no pizza of the month, soda tastes like there's mold growing in the machine, parmasan cheese shakers not filled, they used to have more options for cheese at the pasta bar, their ranch tastes different and they don't have a rewards program anymore. I don't see myself coming back anytime soon.

First time I went and it was amazing! Good pizza! Fun environment! I highly recommend for a good time and unlimited pizza! Including Oreo pizza!

Had to try it and won't be back. Pizza may be ok if it wasn't old and looked like cardboard. Best thing here is the pasta.
