My family loves pier 49 pizza! So it was a little sad to have a subpar experience at this one. We checked the hours on google which said they closed at 9, the sticker on the front door said they closed at 9, we ordered our food at 8:00 and nobody told us they were closing soon. Apparently teenage boys would rather goof off and not work, once they brought us our pizzas they informed us their lobby was closing soon, and when we said everything we saw listed that they close at 9, their story suddenly changed to they closed at 8:00. We also had to wait at the counter for 5 minutes before they even came from the back to help us. Sad they’re getting paid to do nothing
The food is GREAT! But it is the worst run place I have ever experienced in my life (I’m over 60). I usually have to call at least twice before they pick up the phone. Tonight I had to drive over, they never answered. I called while standing at the counter, the phone rang but you couldn’t hear it ring. While there, they didn’t fix the problem.When they do answer the phone, the workers usually don’t know what the special is or how to take an order. They are about to hang up and they don’t even know who they are talking to.There is no training and no professionalism whatsoever!!! It needs new ownership and new management ASAP!!
*only a review of their delivery drivers* Saw one of their delivery drivers going 10 mph over the speed limit, weaving in and out of traffic, with lights off at 7:30 at night. Absolutely not okay, especially from a delivery driver for a business. If Pier49 wants to reach out, I have a license plate number of the driver.
Usually this place is so good. I was excited when my husband told me he ordered pizza from here tonight. There were barely any toppings, including cheese, the crust tasted and had the consistency of cardboard. I really don’t want to be a Karen, like I’m not even mad, I’m just disappointed. I think if I’m going to order pizza with similar quality in the future, I’ll probably just get Little Caesar’s, it’s not great but it’s cheaper and at least they don’t skimp on the toppings. I really, really hope tonight was just an off night for them.Edit: we ordered from the Provo location
Provo's PEIR 49 has excellent quality food that is made fresh every day on the premises❣️ The weekday "All-you-can-eat-lunch" includes drink with refills, unlimited jumbo succulent slices of several kinds of pizza, & unlimited salad, all for $11.99. This is what I had today. The pizza crust is hand baked & rolled out fresh daily; and it is so-o-o-o good♥️ The salad is made fresh daily with fresh leafy lettuce greens - NOT STEMS❗️- with fresh mozzarella cheese, olives, mushrooms & choice of dressing. This was every bit as tasty as enjoyable as much more expensive Italian restaurants, without the high cost❣️

Had a negative experience at this location, but they went above and beyond to make things right. Love this place, great staff and great pizza!
Great food! And the employees are courteous.
Something has happened at this location. New owners? New management? Things are noticeably different and not in a good way. Those working the restaurant are not wearing appropriate clothing. Loose jackets with sleeves scraping the food etc. overall cleanliness is diving. No attention to the details. It went from a clean feeling inviting lunch establishment to a low end college pizza dive trying to be cool. The new mural says it all.
The pizza was so so yummy, and the service was GREAT! The staff was super friendly & the owner was even there and made our whole experience top notch!! Would definitely recommend!!
