Very good food. Nothing else quite like it in the area. I had the katsu curry and some gyoza. The curry was excellent (I'd rate the spice level 4/10), the rice was cooked to heavenly perfection, and the pork was very good despite me not usually being a big fan of it. You can tell the gyoza are made fresh, not the typical pre-frozen kind you see often times. The portion size was also surprisingly large! The curry was two meals for me. I think next time I go I'll try the poke bowl.
Great place for dinner or lunch. Neat clean and simple design. And quick food and delicious. As far as I can tell authentic. Staff all speak Japanese as well. Our favorite is Evan who always has a funny joke to tell or Japanese word to teach. Whatever you pay him it’s not enough!
I came here with my friends and I ordered gyudon. When I got the food, it was a bit cold and the beef didn't have much flavor. It tasted fine, but the sauce wasn't enough. Some of the servers spoke Japanese and they all had good energy. The place is neat and has a good atmosphere.
We ate lunch here today, and I was pleasantly surprised! K's Kitchen is a casual spot with a relatively small selection, and the food is made quickly as a result. We had chicken katsu curry, pork, and Korean BBQ beef plates, along with fried chicken, spring rolls, and gyoza sides. The food was pretty good overall, but the pork and bbq beef plates were a bit plainer since it was just meat and rice without any sauce or vegetables. The katsu curry gave some depth to the plate and was easily my favorite.
Ordered the pork curry and a miso soup to go… didn’t know what this cup was until I drank some and realized it was the miso soup. This tiny little cup? Really? I love miso soup and I’ve ordered it from dozens of japanese restaurants. Never have I been given such a small amount. I feel cheated. Do better Phill.Edit: So you have been ripping people off for over 3 years? That really is sorry!
Even with the change in ordering K’s is still our go to place for lunch and dinner in Utah County. The food is amazing and authentic.
Having lived in Japan, we really enjoy K's approach to presenting foods that are authentic and close to what a person would really encounter in Japan. While there are many Japanese/Asian style restaurants, that offer foods that are somewhat Japanese, K's is our Utah favorite when we are looking for a real Japanese experience!
This place lives up to the reviews. WOW! It was phenomenal. The place is clean and neat. Food is awesome, the fried chicken appetizer was probably the best. Tbh the curry wasn’t my favorite but still really high quality. Will be going back!
The food at K's kitchen tastes like comfort food you've never had. I had the Katsudon which was full of flavor. If I'm being honest, I think about my meal at K's often. The owner (who doubled as our waiter) was friendly, fun, and prompt--even on a busy night! I highly recommend K's Kitchen to anyone looking to get a bite to eat in downtown Provo.
Everyone who works here is top notch. They were all friendly and very efficient, and the place is very clean and well kept.Food was out fast and they came around often to top off my water. And paying the bill took like 5 seconds with their tablet at the table. The place seemed like a well oiled machine.Good food by passionate people.
