I went there today with my family. Everyone got their food on time and I had to wait almost an hour to get mine. Our waitress was nice at first but I think she was distracted by her phone. Some of the patrons had staring problems too which made it uncomfortable for us to dine. When I finally got my food, we had to leave so I took it home to go. The food tastes good! The fish is tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, the burritos were filling and light. The fries weren’t bad either. It’s the service. That’s why they get three stars. I don’t think we’ll return. Save time and money, go somewhere else people
We were in this part of town after the Flying Aces and wanted something quick and not fast food. This hit the spot. We did take out as we are still not eating indoors. The staff was nice enough to bring it to me outside. We enjoyed everything we got except the Shrimp Ceviche. It was like it was in V8. It wasn't our taste. Everything else was great. The portion sizes are large. We would come back if back in the area. Prices were great as well for seafood. Glad we stopped in.
Very slow and several menu items weren’t available. However, if you have time to kill (25 minutes to get food), then the food has good presentation and is tasty. If I had been in a hurry, I’d give this place a 2. If they’d been fast I’d give them a 4.One other thing, I think it would take 4 street tacos to actually fill you up, so if you want tacos, come in taco Tuesday.
I used to work in a seaport fishing town. So I got used to eating fresh, off-the-boat, fish. It's impossible to find fresh food in Utah. But Slapfish is about as good as I have gotten. The fish is above average for the area. I particularly like their New England Clam Chowder. It is the best that I have found out here.
Cute little counter service spot for fish and chips, lobster rolls and seafood salads. Overall, we really enjoyed our food. Unfortunately, the service was pretty challenging. They were out of about 25% of the menu items and it took almost 30 minutes to get our food. As long as you don’t mind waiting, it’s a decent option.
Dang, they really be charging $8 a taco for this much fish. I get the $3 upcharge, but i expected a bit better.Edit; ive eaten some and thank goodness I asked for extra sauce. The sauces are very good, amd the veggies are nice also. Fresh radish and cabbage and onion. A+Too bad the fish is so dry and completely unseasoned. Not fresh at all.
This was a very delicious choice today! Pictured is the Lobster Grilled Cheese.. we also tried the lobster taquitos. Both were very flavorful and filling!.. service was great, too!
We eat here pretty regularly and normally the in restaurant dining is pretty good but we’ve had nothing but terrible experiences with takeout. I went to pickup my order tonight and it was about 30 minutes over due. I live a few minutes away and by the time I got it home it was obvious the sandwiches had sat out for half an hour while we waited for the fries. I don’t recommend takeout from here.
We came for the clam chowder…… it wasn’t available. The tables hadn’t been wiped down. It was messy, chairs askew, food on the floor. There was only one other couple in the place so no excuse for it not being clean and tidy. We had to ask for things like a knife and fork. The root beer was room temperature.
Guess what? The food here is pretty darn good. I had the warm lobster roll with fries. Very tasty, and they did not skimp on the lobster. My wife and daughter each had the citrus shrimp salad. Really fresh with big, juicy shrimp. Service was very friendly. Clean, casual atmosphere. If you like seafood, this is the place for you.
