The service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing. The food, however, needs improvement. It needs more seasoning. The housemade potato chips were very hard and too chewey. The blue cheese on it wasn't the best. I also ordered the purple sage signature steak with fries. The steak lacked seasoning as it tasted like oil. It was too bland and the steak was mostly fatty. Not very enjoyable. The fries needed salt (no biggie on that since you can always add more). I also had their special pork. It was pretty good overall. The green beans need some salt. The mashed potatoes were too buttery. This is one of those places were you're paying for the atmosphere and location, not the food.
After so many years traveling in and around Park City my family and I found a small gem of a restaurant nestled on PC's Main Street. From the get go this restaurant had that little something that you don't know you're looking for until it h¹appens. Amazing salads, entrees and desserts but even better was the service. Alina was our server and was of the most professional and most competent staff I've ever had the opportunity to enjoy an evening with myself and my family. This will be a new location my wife and I will continue to visit.
Imagine your Southern Grandma started wearing broad rimmed hats, skinny jeans and brown leather Chelsea boots. This is the restaurant she would open.We had the charcuterie board and warm housemade potato chips to start along with the complimentary crusty baguette basket with corn jalapeno mini muffins. My favorite of the entrees we ordered was the Butternut Squash Ravioli. The ravioli (raviolis? raviolii?) were slightly crispy on the edges so I'm guessing they dunked them in the fry oil for a sec, creamy filling with hints of nutmeg resting on a bed of sauteed Granny Smith apples and topped with parmesan and fried sage leaves. This was a medium sized portion, but the other entrees were huge. The Chicken Fried Chicken with country chorizo gravy is a must along with the Braised Short Ribs nestled in a smooth and creamy cauliflower puree. We got a side of Mac and Cheese for the kids in case they didn't like the other entrees, but they loved them all, especially the Chicken Fried Chicken. You'd think the chorizo gravy would be spicy but instead it was just packed with delicious flavor. You can't go wrong here. It's also pretty incredible price wise. I've had way more expensive dinners that weren't this good. I'd say make a reservation if you want to make sure you'll get a table, but they do take walk-ins if they're not too busy. Friendly accomodating staff.
Highly recommend this restaurant. The Chicken Tomale Pancake is a must order. The buffalo ribs had a very nice flavor and texture. And, the duck confit was cooked to perfection.
phenomenal food, excellent service, reservations required, but we lucked out being seated 30 mins early! HIGHLY recommend
Excellent all around if you lucky to get in. Friendly and attentive service. Great food taste and quality. Best leek potato soup I've ever head. Meatloaf was very good. Portions are quite large. Lively atmosphere. Priced accordingly.
My fiancé and I went to this restaurant just after getting engaged earlier that day. The atmosphere was perfect, the food was delectable, and the staff was excellent. We were given a wonderful experience at the Purple Sage.
Please add some new items to the menu especially shareable appetizers. Only so many chips and fries we can order. Bar service is great. Waiters are great. Food is great. But Menu hasn’t changed in years.

My husband and I are visiting from Georgia for our anniversary getaway. The pork tenderloin and the braised Buffalo short ribs were superb!! And our waiter,Jason, was exceptional!! Oh! We recommend the bottle of wine Illahe Pinot Noir by far!
