Came for Mother’s Day, got our reservations the night before, and only had to wait about 15 minutes from when we checked in. I got the Kansas City Sirloin w Rice, also a Caesar salad to begin with.My salad was a little sour than most Caesars, I only ate about half of it. I asked for my steak medium, and they absolutely nailed the sear and the color, It was a tasty steak for sure. 4 stars as for $50 for my steak, it wasn’t anything I would rant and rave about but still good.
The atmosphere of The Grub Steak restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Peter and Kenzie do a great job of ensuring you feel welcome, even if you are dining by yourself. There is also live music, which adds to the already great vibe. 5/5 for everything about this place.
Great food! All entrees come with a starter and a side. My husband had the mushroom soup, sirloin, and steak fries. I had the house salad, meatloaf, mashed potatoes. We were seated quickly and the wait staff was friendly. They also give complimentary rolls. They have a variety of some unique appetizers. We had the crab artichoke dip.

They’re not lying when they say the #1 steakhouse in Utah. The food is amazing, they cook the steaks perfectly. The chicken wings are deliciously wonderful. The ranch and blue cheese are made in house and they are both perfect. I’m not even a blue cheese kind of person and I thought it was delectable. The service was really good and professional in a comfortable manner. Live music is always a huge plus. The price is perfect for what the quality. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
Went here for our anniversary and was excited by the atmosphere and live music. The food looked great, however it was subpar. The steak had little to no flavor. For the price, I expected more. I had heard a lot of good things about this place, but unfortunately we left disappointed. I won't be coming back here.
Took my wife for her birthday. Was very happy with this restaurant. The food, the service, the ambience, and music were all great. We tried a few things and were happy with them all. I highly recommend this place for any occasion.
Great food, great atmosphere and great service. One of our favorites!
It’s a shame when there are gems of restaurants that you visit every time you go to a particular location. Grub Steak was like that. Harken back to the days of the large salad bar and their famous beer bread and you visit back to the time Grub Steak was truly a local favorite and a definite place that could not be missed. Fast forward to now…new ownership, no more beer bread, no salad bar (I understand Covid may be playing in with that but I doubt even without Covid there’d be one now), overpriced entrees, etc… I’m super sad to report that the food quality does not match what it used to be and the price is double what it used to be…I guess this is the trend for resort area restaurants. Service should be good at higher end restaurants. You should not be seated and forgotten for 20 minutes as the front forget to assign a server to your table. Yeah, that happened. Once we had a server, she was great…but, come on…how does a restaurant simply forget about a table with waiters walking by nonstop? Food quality is average but far overpriced. I frequent nice restaurants when I travel for work and vacation, and I can honestly say that the steaks here are not that great. I got a bone in strip and it was mostly fat…not the fat you eat on the steak, but the hard, chewy stuff that you have to leave on the side of the plate. I usually take pictures of the meals, especially when they are good, and nothing was worth taking a picture of (sorry). Grub Steak has become a “meh” restaurant in comparison with others in the area that are simply far better on many levels. One thing for sure is that this restaurant is nothing like it used to be.
The worst service we have ever received! Did not get our salads and our waiter he didn’t even know/ cared. Asked for the manager from another waitress (rude lady) and the lady came over trying to say we were wrong and never got the manager. The steak was amazing but your staff is awful!! WORST SERVICE! We will never go here again, this was the second time and our last!
