I’ve been here a handful of times, the sushi is good for a awesome price. How ever this last time I went I was not impressed with the service. The staff was judging me on how many rolls I was eating and were annoyed, as well as how many times my waiter had to fill up my drink. It’s all you can eat, not how much the employees think you should eat. The waiter held up a sign that explained if you didn’t eat all your meal they would charge you extra. When I went to check out the lady glares at my plate In disbelief and annoyance. I believe she even charged me extra since the meal was $26 plus my drink which should have been $28 which was my last visit. This time I was charged $32. Don’t think I will be bringing my business here again.
I love Sushi Ya. Years ago I made good use of their all-you-can eat option, but now I just order 1-2 rolls and that's enough. Prices have risen sharply due to inflation and gas prices (along with everything), but the quality is still great. I give it 4 stars because a couple of times I've gone alone (my wife doesn't care for sushi), they've stuck me at a particular table around the corner in the back section and I was only able to get another order in and a drink refill when I waited for 30 minutes and then walked up to the cashier counter.
The sushi was great, but this was an awful place to take young children. Our options were pay half price for all you can eat, or full price for a roll for them. They wouldn't let us split a roll between them either. For three rolls and two dinner all you can eat, it was $110.I'd go here on a date, but not as a family.
Came for a work anniversary. Place was a bit dark. Friendly workers. A bit hard to understand but not so much we couldn't get what we wanted. The bathroom doors look like they haven't been cleaned in a while but the rooms themselves were kept nice.Depends on what time you are there as to what you can order. Two different sizes of rolls too. I got the New Yorker, Playboy, and one other. They were rather good but no real punch of flavor or spiciness. I left plenty full. They were a good ratio of rice to other fillings.I would recommend if you want all you can eat sushi.
Sushi was great, but the customer service was horrible. All of the prices on the menus were wrong and so we ended up spending about $20 more than expected. The waiter was rude and couldn't have cared less from the start. They give you a large bowl of rice with all you can eat that you have to eat or they add a "waste fee" to your bill, they do this so you will eat less sushi. It came out to $32 a person.
They've raised their prices to 20 for lunch, quality of sushi has declined, and they can sometimes make you wait an hour for your food and its all you can eat so...yet they insist on a tip. Oh and they'll chew you out when SOMEONE ELSE ENTIRELY doesn't finish their sushi and they'll try to ding you a fee for someone else not finishing. Nice guys. I came back onto this review just to change it.
If you like sushi and enjoy it, this isn’t the place for you. But if you’re looking for a wuhan experience with warm silky fish sliding around in your mouth, imitation crab that has the texture of an old cheese stick and low quality ingredients this is your spot. The sushi was pretty much rice with little slivers of warm slimy fish, swimming in a sea of sauce. The employees will WATCH you and make sure you are eating ALL of your sushi, but with how much rice they give you there’s no way you can finish the rolls, so we ended up smashing it between the plates. Worst sushi experience, don’t waste your time or money.
Don't know if they're under new management as of late, but this place has dramatically dropped in quality. Staff aren't friendly. Prices have been raised substantially, and the staff got mad at us because we didn't leave the kind of tip they wanted. I'm sorry, but over $24 for a lunch menu with a drink is so not worth it. Dinner is even more expensive. Just go somewhere else if you want sushi. You'll get better prices, better (and more kind) service, and better food.
You get what you pay for my friends, yes you get lots of sushi cheaper than other places but the quality isn’t as good as that more expensive stuff. Plus the other reviews are right that they put a lot of rice on the rolls. The service isn’t awful but at points it does feel like everyone needs to stare to get the attention of the server. Overall it’s not awful but I’d recommend paying a little more for better quality.
Each time I’ve been to this restaurant the worst the service gets. For how much you pay for all you can eat sushi, you’d expect the waiter/waitress to check up on you to see if you need anything else, including water. But it felt like we were burdens to them and they were annoyed if we asked for a second round with the all you can eat.
