I came here with my dad. We love getting Thai food and usually have a go to place. We decided to branch out and try other places. We were excited when we saw several people there and when we looked at the menu (it was very pretty) but overall weren’t impressed with the food or the service. The food was ok. But not something I would seek out again in the future. We saw an employee a total of three times and they didn’t provide part of our order. They were nice but overall it was a meh experience.
I came in an hour before closing one night. I was a bit lost because it was my first time here. Couple people greeted me but no one told me where to sit so I just picked a spot to sit. Still no one came so I walked to the counter and asked for a menu myself. First impression wasn't so well. Then a server came to take my order she recommended me some options which end up tasting really great! Until I was only 10 mins into enjoying my food, she returned to ask if I was ready for the check and if I needed any to go box. I know it's close to closing time but I wish they could have gave me some time to just enjoy it (I even checked the time and there was still 25 mins before they close). Overall I didn't feel so welcomed. The food portion was alright. I will return maybe another time during the "day" for the food again.TLDR: service so so food yum yum
We were looking for a quick lunch and there were several options in the little strip mall. My kids, surprisingly, chose Thai and they made a good choice. I would have preferred to have had a lunch special, but it was a weekend visit. We had pad woon sen, ginger chicken and steamed potstickers. All of it was very good, but I think the best was the pad woon sen. If we're in Orem again looking for lunch, I'd go here again.
I’m a huge Thai food lover but this restaurant doesn’t meet my expectations. The food wasn’t horrible but it’s flavorless. Ordered tom yom soup, panang curry, red curry, shrimp roll appetizer and mango sticky rice. Both curries were bland. The shrimp rolls were the best out of everything we had. We didn’t like the flavor for the soup. The service wasn’t good. Spoons for dessert were placed on top of curry sauce spilled on table. Could have cleaned the table for some space for the dessert. Give it two stars because the portion was big.
I like to get Pad thai at Savory Thai. It's delicious! Its fresh & faster than most popular drive thru's. And the best part is how much better you feel when you eat fresh real food there. Located at 182 West Center St. in Orem, its the perfect secret spot tucked in the the strip mall by Bosch Kitchen center. Parking is easy too.
The food was not bad but it was not as good as other places I've been. It didn't have any spice to it. Usually when I go to a Thai place I'm asked what level of spice I'd like and I was not asked that here and my dish was not spicy at all. I personally prefer things to be a little bit more flavorful. The waitress was very nice and the service was quick. I haven't found a Thai place in Utah county that I'm impressed with yet so I may come back here until I find something better.
Pros: The food tastes very fresh and the service was incredibly fast and courteous! The venue is small, but quaint. On top of that, very affordable!Cons: Typical Salt Lake City cuisine (maybe a pro for others). The chefs use more, how do I put this, “white” ingredients, such as carrots and onions instead of lemon grass and oyster mushrooms. Also, heat is replaced with sweet. Not a chili pepper to be found. Again, while not my jam, this could be great for families with young children or as a “gateway” for others not accustomed to spicy or more traditional Thai flavors.
Ate here for lunch yesterday. Great price for their lunch specials. I wanted to leave a review for 4.5 Stars, but it wouldn't let me. The only reason I would have taken off the .5 Star is the soup that comes with their lunch special is basically just sweetened coconut milk and isn't soup. Other than that, it was delicious food and great portion size for the price. I will definitely be back to try another option soon.
This place is really good, the best Thai food in Orem, Love the massaman curry and the pineapple pumpkin curry especially. The coconut soup and the pot stickers are also quite good, I would highly recommend the lunch special.I love to come here whenever I'm in town to see my favorite chiropractor in Orem - Dr Jon Krogue, DC
Best Thai place right by my office to eat at. I’m a chiropractor and love Thai food in my office is just up the street. I can’t get enough the Massaman on curry. A lot of others like the green curry like my dad but I think the Massaman Curry is better.
