I used to love eating here when I was younger. When I went here yesterday there was only two groups here, that should’ve been my first sign to leave.I walked directly up to order with zero wait and ordered a fire grilled steak rice bowl with grilled veggies and teriyaki sauce. The steak was not good (incredibly chewy) and the veggies tasted like they came from the frozen foods section at the grocery store. I also ordered brown rice but they gave me white rice (I would’ve asked for brown but I got the food to go so I didn’t know until I got to where I was going). I waited for 20 minutes for my food, and unless the food truly is cooked fresh (which would surprise me) that is way too long. For a $15 meal this experience was definitely not good enough.The staff were nice enough and the restaurant was clean, but everything else made this a 1-star review.
Typically love their chicken tortilla soup...the sandy location is amazing. The soup here is a Styrofoam cup/bowl full of soggy tortilla chips. It's supposed to have just a few on top with a flavorful broth with nothing else but chicken, cheese, and a lime. The chip mush was flavorless, with little to no chicken, cheese, and was just nasty. Sweet potato fries were bomb tho
The girls at the register was friendly. She took my order for the chicken and shrimp dish. I was then informed that they didn’t have any shrimp. I then tried to order the Mahi, they didn’t have any. “Actually we don’t have any seafood”Rumbi island grill without seafood is just rumbi grill. For just chicken, pulled pork, or a salad there are better locations. Ended up getting a salad from Noodles and Co.
Absolutely disgusting. There was one girl doing the cashier while at the same time cleaning tables and serving food WITHOUT washing her hands !!! So gross!! Our food was cold and not cooked. The girl let our food stay on the counter for 15+ minutes while she gave everyone who ordered after us their food. I’ve been coming for years and now they ask for tips on top of paying 15$ for a small bowl of food.
Absolutely shocked. We've been coming here for years, but this place has gone way down hill. The cashier was very rude and wouldn't stop chomping on her gum while we were ordering. I couldn't get a full sentence out before she would interrupt me. She was also touching her face multiple times without washing her hands. Talk about major health code violations. Word to the wise, please avoid this restaurant. Only a matter of time before there is some sort of major food poisoning incident here. The food has also decreased in quality BIG TIME! The shrimp was slimey, and the fries were small in portion. They closed the Provo location down, only a matter of time before this one closes, unless someone steps in and holds their workers accountable.
Fast service and delicious food every time we go here. Rumbi fries are too hard to share we always get our own side
Manager deserves a raise! She was the only one working and trying to do it all with a bunch of people waiting. She was super fast, and had a great attitude. Have no idea how she was doing it all. She definitely needs a raise. Plus excellent food as always.
I almost always get the grilled chicken bowl with teriyaki sauce and white rice. Definitely in my biweekly rotation.
Love this place. The staff is great, food is always fresh. Highly recommend!
