It’s like any other panda except that they either close early or just stop making any new food during the last hour they’re open. If you go within the last hour before closing expect to have maybe 2 choices for an entree. If I was going 10 minutes before close I’d understand that the options would be limited but when I go 45 minutes before they close they should still have orange chicken left but they don’t.
I've loved panda express for years, but this panda express franchise is kind of disappointing. I frequent(ed) this location a few times a week and they do a semi-ok job. They've forgotten to give me my receipt a few times and when I came back later to get it they said "oh sorry we don't store them in the system." Don't get me wrong, the food is great, the place is usually clean, but this location is just not run as well as others I've been to. Usually you'll have to wait a little longer than other locations to be helped (7 min on one occasion, with one guy in front of me), because the manager understaffs, because (I guess) the manager likes to scrap and save, which puts pressure and tension on the understaffed employees. There were literally two guys working there at 4p on one occasion. Who is staffing these guys? I'm surprised people like working there. In addition, The portion sizes here are typically not fair compared to other Panda Express locations. It's inconsistent, especially if you're served by the owner. If you get served by the manager, you will likely receive 4-5 small pieces of chicken total if you order a plate, compared to like 10-11 at any other franchise. I don't know what the deal is with this location, but the antics just disappoint a customer. On one occasion I came in half an hour before closing time with the doors open, but the employees had almost no food left. We walked in and they said "sorry, this is all we have," and there were about 10 pieces of chicken in a wok. My guess is they refused to make more because they already cleaned up or something and they would get off their shift later if they started cooking again. Some of the employees are great, but the little frustrations tend to add up.If you really want panda express, go to the provo one (where there's usually a long line because they have great service). Otherwise I'd save your money and go down the street to In-n-out (or the other 20 restaurants within a mile for that matter) for the same amount of food at half the price.
I've had a lot of good experiences with this location however on one occasion in specific I had an employee rush me when I was in the bathroom with my wife.Finding unique food is an accomlished andUndeniably hard thing to do in todays age.Carefully choosing where too eat takes time.Keeping a high standard of food does also.No one really cares about the work though. Its obvious everyone cares about the foodGetting a high quality of food takes work!Going out to eat you have to expect that.Everyone has to accept that when eating outRemember that and suddenly its not so bad.Stay safe out their you gaggots!
Food was good and fresh. The people were fast and polite. Had no issues
Effecient service and clean surfaces.
I don’t know why but this Panda Express makes terrible food?. I think the one in Pleasant Grove is pretty good and I’ve been coming to this one recently because it’s closer to home but I won’t be coming back for a while because this last time was so bad it made me feel sick. Sorry for the bad review Panda but this specific one is trash.
This location has consistently bad quality. Tonight I tried their new almond chicken and it was completely burned, black and rock hard. In the past I got broccoli beef and the broccoli was completely rotten, literal mush.
Good location, good food, good service, close to where we live. Really the only downside is that it doesn't have a drive-thru like the one further up state street and Center near Smiths.
Family favorite. Not the best but definitely not the worst. We love the Honey Walnut Shrimp and Orange Chicken. I think they add too many vegetables to their noodles and their fried rice is a little bland. But we but Panda often.
Never had a poor experience in this place until last night. We go to same Panda restaurant each time we are in SLC. Cashier rang up the bill wrong but that's on both of us. Each of us could have done something more to avoid the bill issue. But after completing my family's order and the next people in line, the cashier took rag and cleaner to wash empty tables. She washed one table, went to the next, dropped her rag on the floor and then resumed washing tables with it. We can all do better each day to make others experience not just pleasant but with the idea that they will want to come back for more. Let's make effort, not excuses.
