We have been going to Mama Chus for years and have been happy with everything about it UNTIL TODAY! We go to lunch as a work team who are all law enforcement officers. While paying for our meal today, the cashier pointed to one of our officers wrist band that say's "police lives matter" and shook her head in disgust.We and all of our team will NOT be going there again. We are also very connected and will be passing this experience on to our law enforcement partners encouraging them to not give Mama Chus our business.Very disappointed in the behavior of the staff at Mama Chus.
I had heard really good things about this restaurant. So I thought I would give them a try. I ordered the carne asada burrito smothered without guacamole, it was so delicious now I realize what I have been missing all this time and they're right in my neighborhood. The staff was friendly and fun to interact with the location is not the greatest with all the traffic from Provo canyon and University avenue merging together. But I will deal with the traffic just to have their food it is spectacular. The portion size was great I could only eat half of it for my dinner so I will finish the rest of it for my midnight snack.
I’ve eaten here more times than any other restaurant in Utah. Probably close to 30 times. Always fast, always friendly, fantastic prices, and fantastic food. Their weekly specials are perhaps the best lunch deal in the valley!
Oh my gracious. This place use to be so good like ten years ago! I recently came and was shocked by how much it’s declined. Horchata was awful, chips were stale, and I’m pretty sure the flautas are frozen. Absolutely unbelievable. I’m willing to bet this place is under new ownership.
I always love Mama Chus. The staff is always super friendly, the food tastes amazing, and they have authentic Mexican drinks. Get the Chile relleno, you won't be disappointed.
Great location with a fairly friendly staff. Had one lady there that watched over the place, and didn’t say much. She didn’t even say a word when I checked out to pay. Was a little weird. But the rest of the staff was very friendly. The food came out so fast! Literally 2 minutes after I ordered, the food was at my table. I ordered the #14, two beef tacos and one beef enchilada. The plate was so hot it was like they had the food pre-made, and then just nuked it. Everything was very watered down and bland in taste. Not a great meal, but the prices are decent.
Had the shredded beef tacos and the shell was crispy and not oily. The chips were fresh and went great with the tasty salsa. My husband had the enchiladas and he liked them a lot. Staff was nice.
The food and service is great. Love the homemade chips and salsa. Chicken enchiladas are the best
We're regulars! Always great service and delicious food. We usually gst the lunch specials. Great value.
Is this the best Mexican food I have had? No. But it gets five stars because it is better than every other restaurant in this valley, all of whom serve barely warmed animal feces and call it Mexican cuisine
