The food was pretty good. My husband ordered the drunken noodles, I got the green curry and my boys ordered the chicken fried rice and the kids sweet and sour chicken. My husband really liked his food. I've ordered green curry a lot! At a lot of different places. It was okay in my opinion. Wasn't super flavorful and I personally like more veggies in mine. The one they served me was really soupy. When I was ordering and asked if she could add broccoli and eggplant she seemed annoyed. My oldest son loved his fried rice and my 7 year old ate the chicken and some of the rice and peppers, but he doesn't really like peppers and onions. I think it's funny they load a kids meal with tons of pepper and onions. I mean there was like 1 parts chicken to 2 parts onions and peppers. So he was still hungry and I had to order him something else. I don't think many kids like peppers and onions. But, I could be wrong.The service was not very good. The woman that was helping us was nice some of the time, but got annoyed very easily. I think she was overwhelmed. I didn't see any other servers, so I think she was the only one seating and serving. It was really hard to get her attention the one time I tried. It was like she was ignoring me, so I had to get out of my seat and go to the front desk where I knew she could see and hear me.When we were leaving I ordered some spring rolls to go for my oldest son and she was annoyed again. Like she was really annoyed. It showed in her face and tone. She said they had a lot of orders ahead of me and it would be a wait, which I was okay with and expected.I don't remember her ever checking on us and she didn't refill our water until asked. But if you don't make any alterations, order more food after yours has been served and don't mind slow service you should be fine.
I ordered the Curry fried rice as pick up. The price for it was $15 and what I received was something in my opinion should’ve been $6. I would recommend a little more than what I received. I thought the flavors all in all was mediocre. I should’ve just saved my money and cooked my own fried rice.
Excellent flavors of scrumptious foods. Plenty in a serving. Three entrees and an appetizer were plenty with leftovers to take home for four of us. The service was fun and helpful.
Spring rolls are so small. For 7.99, you get 4 pieces of mini spring rolls which you can get 4 at panda express with the same price but better quality and 3 times bigger. Tong yum gong was watery. There were only 5 pieces of small shrimps, 3 pieces of medium size dice tomato and 4 small mushrooms in it. Orem gets a lot more Thai food options better than that for sure. And it took a long time for food to come to the table after order. They gave us the wrong appetizer but then corrected it. However, it arrived in the middle of us consuming the entree. I was about to asked them to not bother give me the appetizer since we already missed it but they just walked away really fast trying to dodged my question.
I have been coming here pretty much every Friday for the past 2 years. I love whenever I mention this place to someone and they say "I go there so often Marina knows everyone in our group by name." This place has great food and Marina knows how to make everyone feel like her favorite customer. ❤️
If I could give a 0 star review, I would. Hey Google, make that an option haha. It was freezing. Slowest service I've ever had. Food was nasty. I have no idea why it's so popular. Maybe they just don't know what actual reasonable service is. I will never ever be back. And I don't usually leave bad reviews just saying. Save yourself an hour of nothing at your table just to be very disappointed.
Good and really good service but maybe stay away from the chicken satay. Yikes!
Love this place! Been here 10+ times and we enjoyed the food every time! Some items I love: spicy chicken wings, spicy golden thai fried rice, avocado curry, yellow curry fried rice, drunken noodles, Thai basil stir fry and Thai tea! Their Thai tea is so good. Curry is very flavorful too. Just be careful with the spice. The owner is super friendly too. The quality for takeout is as good as dine in. Will keep coming back!
Very tasty! The potatos in my massaman curry were firm on the outside but tender on the inside...perfect! The curry was super tasty too! The lady that waited on us was funny and very kind. Made for a great date night!! Thanks!!!
The 2 times I had gone previously, I was pleased with the food, but the service was horrendous. Two young, blonde waitresses helped us out and it was obvious they did not want to be there. Very rude. Clearly overworked and mistreated.The 3rd time was the tip of the iceberg. There was a bit of a wait, so the lady in charge (small, oriental woman) had us write our name on a list. We asked her how long we would be waiting, and she said 25 minutes. We then asked how we would know she was ready for us, and she said that she would call us, as we had left our number on the list as well.25 minutes roll around…NOTHING45 minutes roll around…NOTHING1 hour rolls around… NOTHINGWe decided to go inside and ask what the hold up was, only to be greeted by one of the blonde waitresses again that said they had several open tables. There went 1 hour of our Saturday night.She pointed at the table she wanted us at, gave us menus, and we sat down. Normally a waitress follows you to the table, grabs what drinks you’d like, and is very helpful. Not her.15 minutes roll around…NOTHING30 minutes roll around…NOTHINGThey didn’t even take the time to grab our drinks. We saw the owner and the other waitress maybe 2 times while we waited at the table. We were completely ignored. At that point, we got up and left.I understand that restaurants get busy. I understand that longer wait times should be expected on a Saturday night. But the way we were treated was completely unacceptable. Seems to be a recurring theme at Golden Thai. The lady that runs it is rude as hell, and the two blonde girls that work there are clearly treated horribly. Place is understaffed, and management is extremely poor. Clearly don’t want business anyway.
