Good but…..I was so excited as the menu looked great, our waitress was very nice & recommended the Cali bacon Benedict as I love Benedict’s. The flavor and combination of items in Benedict were awesome except the eggs were poached hard. It was like having a hard boiled egg on top of a Benedict - kind of gross. The hash browns were cold - meaning butter wouldn’t melt on them at all. My husband has the Grizz and it was good and his eggs were cooked over easy as asked. I was so disappointed I didn’t just ask them to remake it and serve it warm because the Benedict really was good. But I was short in time. So just make sure u get what u ask for or ask them to fix it. I would try them again but be more specific and ask to remake it
We came on a Friday night. Relatively busy and the wait after we were seated was slightly longer than usual. The food was amazing, portion sizes are huge for the price and staff was friendly and personable. Great experience all around. We got the Bigfoot chicken fried steak, waffle, and biscuits and gravy with some lemonade. Everything was hot and correct.
It was my first time at the Orem location, and I enjoyed the food quality much more than at a location in Sandy. The bacon was crunchy, the French toast was great, my wife liked the eggs Benedict, and the kids portion of the scrambled eggs with ham and cheese was huge. Everything was fresh and hot.We would go back and recommend this location.
Dani was an phenomenal waitress! Kept our food and laughter coming. She made the full first experience worth it and was extremely communicative with us. The food tasted great and came out fresh.
We gave black bear a chance and wow we were very sad that we did this is the tri tip we received it had none of the dressing or flavor it said it would come with, my order was a tri tip steak 10 oz medium rare there was not a drop of red the food came cold and even after the waiter who was very nice popped it in the microwave it was inedible all I ate was half a biscuit and there mediocre fries very disappointing and they’ll probably never see me again. Sorry to say but I’ve never not eaten something I payed for but this time I did.
We love Blackbear diners. But not yours. Dirty. Dusty. Torn seats. Food came out Luke warm. I had the Western BBQ burger and fries. Fries were limp. Thought it was just me. But it was the same for my wife and mother in law. Took them out for what was Sutton be a great meal and was so disappointed. Won’t be going to this location again. 👎👎🎉
If you suffer from arkoudaphobia (the fear of bears) this isn't your scene. The decor is all about the bears of western North America: brown, black, grizzly. The food is slanted toward breakfast fare. Serving portions are plentiful. My food came out lukewarm, though.
She is an amazing server!!! Never had I have such a server who topped off my orange juice and asked if I needed an extra syrup to go. She went above and beyond what she had to do! Thank you Ashlynn for being an amazing server. Keep it up! Hopefully they will give you a raise you deserve it!

I just had the best time. Eating there. I have to eat gluten free. I wasn’t sure what I could eat. I found out their eggs usually have batter in them, but the very kind server who had been there only 2 days asked her manager for me and they made me the best gluten free omelette no batter. I was so grateful to have yummy food and no tummy ache later.
