This place is a surprise gem in Provo, UT. I have actually eaten Ramen in Japan and this is very authentic in comparison. The restaurant looks very basic on the outside, but the flavor and presentation of their Ramen, Croquettes (fried mashed potatoes drizzled in Katsu sauce aka Japanese BBQ sauce) and the Mochi are anything but basic. My mouth is very happy. Plus I arrived in time for the lunch special: Half size Ramen (still a generous portion), choice of side dish and a drink for $11.25. If I am ever in Provo again, I will return.

This is one of my favorite ramen places around. It gets pretty busy but you can check in via the Yelp app so you don't have to wait once you get there. This photo is the Tonkotsu Karai full size, definitely my favorite. Just a little spicy and a really nice mix of flavors in the broth. If you've got a big appetite like me, you can get extra noodles which fit well with a full size.

I don't normally eat Ramen but this Ramen is one of the best I have had. It hit the spot and was exactly what I was craving in a Ramen. I had the Miso one. Fried chicken was so tender and juicy so delicious!!! If I could them 10 Stars ? I totally would!! ?

It started out rocky. They gave away my reserved table after saying it would be a hour and then they were ready in 20 minutes. So we had to wait again. I am forgiving that because they got us in and we waited for only 40 minutes total which is less then the original wait time. It was annoying but I moved on when I got my food. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. It was warm and perfectly made. It was busy but they still seems to put out some pretty great service once we were seated. You can see a big difference from those that own Asa and the hired help. It is hard to find good help these days. Go when the owners are working and you'll a delicious and great experience!

As this is the closest Ramen place to my house I have been here 6 times, once in person (then a pandemic) and 5 times ordering take out. When it is well done it is really quite good when it is poorly done it is meh, serviceable. Every time I have ordered the exact same thing: Tonkatsu, no egg, spicy. I ordered it once and it was so yummy my husband was jealous and still craving it the next night so we ordered two of the exact same thing as the previous night. Not only were they not the same as before but they weren't even the same as each other!!! Two different kinds of noodles and one with egg. Go figure. I am writing tonight after getting some that I would rate a 4 out of 10. Super skinny noodles instead of the regular ones and no spice was added so it was super bland. The portion seemed a little on the sparse side compared to usual but I had enough so I can let that slide. The real issue is that you just never know what you are going to get once you open it up. The gambler in me keeps hoping for another jackpot but the realist in me that keeps forking out 12 bucks for some flavorless noodles will probably start making the longer drive.

Great Ramen at great prices. Nothing is better than a hot bowl of Ramen in the winter. Asa Ramen is simply fantastic, both the miso and shoyu bases are spot on. The sides are brilliant as well, the croquettes are something you usually don't see outside of Japan. Grab your place in line on yelp and come see why this place is always packed.

Best ramen place I've ever been too!! The broth is perfectly made, the noodles are light, and the flavors are to die for! Wish they had more stores

I’m on the hunt for best ramen soup, but so far none would impress my watering eyes and leave unforgettable experience. This ramen restaurant was alright, not mind blowing as expected. If you were lucky to have a parking in front or park somewhere and walk to restaurant. Tiny space but enough seat for all, simple menu but offered variety of dishes and reasonable prices. The crispy fried chicken was very flavorful and juicy with bbq sauce, loved the croquettes which coated breadcrumb on the outside with creamy smashed potatoes inside. All appetizers came with dipping sauce on the side.We had chashu ramen and Tonkotsu ramen. The broth was little salty for my liking but very flavorful and rich but was not steamy hot. The noodles were decent and soft to splurge not smushy but I really referred the fresh made ramen. The sliced chashu was well marinated and seasoned and melted in my mouth.Service was excellent and quick but not attentive due to crowded customers and cramped spaces. Is it worth time and money on this ramen restaurant? Try and treat yourself but I would come back to try different dishes and have reservation on Yelp or long wait for walk in.

the Ramen was amazing I would recommend getting extra eggs and noodles. The one thing I wouldn't recommend would be croquettes but overall good place for Ramen.

Been coming here I think for 4 years maybe longer? Always been consistent! Great ramen, but the chashu buns are the hidden gem of the menu. Only complaint is they lost my favorite manager of this place. He really made the experience 5 stars!
