A dream. Fried funeral potatoes are absolutely top tier. Pork melts in the mouth. Brisket has excellent marbling. Mac and cheese actually pretty decent. Really a far and away better experience than any other BBQ style place anywhere in Provo or Orem without a doubt.

Decent BBQ for Utah, ribs and brisket were good but could have more smoke flavor for my taste. The sides were fair at best, the coleslaw was very heavy with vinegar and I couldn’t eat it. Beans were OK, cornbread was like pound cake with little-no flavor.

WELL WOO WEE ISNT THIS PLACE JUST A BEAUT. y’all haven’t been livin properly if ya haven’t tried r&r bbqs sprite! i mean wooo weee it’s fabulous and don’t even get me started on that mac and cheese! if you got a nice silver spoon and reached up that arm of yours and took out a big ol spoonful of the sun, put in in a blender, blend for some time then slowly pour it over the most noodly noodles you can find, that it still wouldn’t be half as good as the mac and cheese these fine chefs have brought up. but i do really just recommend getting the sprite, liquid gold is what i like to call it.

This was my favorite place to eat and I eat there often. However, there’s one employee who ruined the experience for me and made me not want to go there anymore. The last time I ate there the food was cold and the sandwich was nothing like how I used to get when I ordered before. I’ll post the before after picture here. I told the employee about it but the employee was very lame and disrespectful. I wanted to talk to the manager about his attitude and asked him to tell the manager to come he said go sit over there and wait for me to call the manager but he never did. I will never eat there again because I don’t want to pay money to a restaurant and be disrespected by the employees.
Finally found good BBQ in Utah!!! We’ve tried multiple places since we moved here a few years ago but none of them compare to BBQ in the south. 5 Star BBQ is the closest we’ve found! Now if they would put corn nuggets on the menu they’d be even better!
Enjoyed flavorful brisket and pulled pork smoked to perfection. Ample parking and seating are pluses for this restaurant. Food was great, stop by.
5 star BBQ is one of our family favorites! We especially love the mac n’ cheese and the delicious corn bread! The meat is always high quality and the staff is super sweet! The facility is clean and well maintained! They even have live music every now and then which just adds to an already great experience! ?
