BELIEVE THE REVIEWS!!!!! This food is amazing beyond words! I ate here for the first time today(takeout), and it did not disappoint! I had the lamb biryani (spicy) and jalapeño cheddar naan and o my word!! I love Indian food so much, and this was hands down the best Indian food I’ve ever had! Not to mention the portions ?? It’s enough for 2-3 meals ?? Looking forward to future meals here!!
Me and my fiancee went here for lunch today, we've been coming here for many years, and today may have been the last time for us unfortunately. My Tikka masala was supposed to be medium spicy and since we had our order to go, I didn't make sure before we left. Got all the way home for it to be very mild, with little flavor at all, and it was very runny. Our garlic naan was hard as well. While we were there we also saw a cockroach on the wall. When we called to complain the manager offered us 20% off our next order, which really wasn't much at all for all the trouble we went thru. I used to love this place but clearly it is going downhill.
I was told this restaurant was some of the best food that you’ve ever had well it did not disappoint. I have never had Indian food that I’ve liked but this was amazing. The flavors were incredible and the chicken was cooked to perfection.The staff were very kind and if you needed anything they were right there. I will be returning to try other meals.
The Indian coffee is so good I could just die and I love the butter chicken.Sometimes it isnt as spicy as I want it to be but I am a white lady and I can respect them being careful with me.Sometimes I'll really be craving this food and they won't be open but I feel like that's common now in 2022 and I can understand that. I just make sure I grab food when I'm picking up my dog from the groomer or just whenever I see it open on errand days.It's good.
I placed a to go order and was told 35 min. I arrived 45 min later and waited another 20 min for one entree. It was delicious. But while I waited, staff turned off the OPEN sign (5:30PM) and a seated table was told they were no longer serving. Sitara had seated them and then told them they were closing. I am not sure why they closed at 5:30, asked a seated table to leave and provided poor customer service. Their food is great but if they aren't open it can't be a successful business.
I can't believe I waited 2 years to try this place! It is so very good. The smell is just lovely. A gorgeous blend of aromatics and flavors. The basmati rice was cooked to perfection. I am so excited to try more. A+++
Wow! Amazing customer service, fantastic food and just all around great experience. There was only 1 guys serving and he hustled. The food was some of the best food I've had. Thank you Sitara India. We will be back!
I was visiting Ogden and had a strong desire to get some Indian food. I’ve eaten at Sitara before, but it’s been probably 10 years. The food did not disappoint. It was fantastic! Very delicious and good quantities. We got Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken with garlic naan, and garlic cheese naan. I liked the Tikka Masala more than the butter, but my wife was opposite! I also wanted it spicier, but she said the medium was already too spicy for her.The thing I didn’t like, and the reason for 3 stars…I placed my order online at 4:45 PM, selecting 5:30 as my pick up time (the first available was 5:20 but I knew I couldn’t make it there by then). I arrived at 5:35, the worker that helped me took my name, went to the kitchen, was gone for a bit, came back and asked my name again, and went and washed tables. At 5:45 he came back to me and said they were finishing my naan. I finally received my food at 5:58. I was offered a beverage because of how long it was taking. I declined because I’d didn’t feel like that made up for wasting 25 minutes of my time. Because I ordered online, I also had to select a tip amount at payment time while ordering. Had I known that it was going to take 28 minutes longer than what I requested, I wouldn’t have tipped 15%.I’d probably try another Indian restaurant before I returned.
Great time and a great restaurant. Staff was excellent and well trained. restaurant is very clean and fresh. The menu is diverse and full of favorites and quite authentic. Food was really good and the quality was high. my highest recommendation for a fun experience. Getty
