What a FUN time. Incredible food-steak cooked to perfection.Great atmosphere. Matt our waiter made our aunts birthday special. We never had to “look for help” he always asked if things were ok or anything needed.Highly recommend.
Prairie Schooner was a “must do” recommendation from friends who’d been in Ogden 2 years ago. The covered wagon tables were great fun for the kids and they LOVED the campfire and animals on the trail to our table. The food was good., prepared as we requested. No unpleasant surprises. The menu is diverse with something for everyone. Service was friendly and accommodating. This was a great recommendation I’ll continue to pass on to others visiting the area.
We drove an hour and a half (each way) for what we expected to be a special night out for our anniversary. We ended up paying for the most expensive meal I've ever had with the worst food we've ever had when dining out. We ordered a steak and lobster combo, medium rare. Expecting an above average dining experience based on the ambiance and decor. What was brought to us was the worst overcooked steak I've ever seen served. Mine was literally burned to charcoal on one side and cooked way beyond well done, as was the lobster. The baked potatoes had been cooked so long they were dry and nasy inside then served cold. When the butter on your baked potato doesnt melt you know there's a problem. My wife's was no better. We complained to the waitress and the only thing offered was to comp a $4 desert. For over $180 I expected better. We will not return and suggest you avoid the place as well.
The decor is pretty cool. The outside looks like an old western general store. The inside has different western settings and the tables are like mini stagecoach. So it feels like you're out on the plains on a starry night. The food was okay. My party had ribs and they liked them, but that was the only thing they liked. The chicken noodle soup tasted watered down, did not care for the salad. I had steak and shrimp. For $25 I expected the quality of meat to be better. I also had steak fries that seemed to come from a freezer bag. I had the exact same meal at Andy's, same price, and it was far better quality.
I loved this place and I will definitely be back. The decor was cool and I loved the western starry night theme. I didn’t care much for the bread. If your expecting some high end steakhouse then this isn’t the place for you. My steak was yummy and I enjoyed the soup and salad. My broccoli smelt a little odd and I could care less for steamed tasteless broccoli. Our server was very attentive and fast. Yummy lemonades. I enjoyed my evening here and the food was good.
My wife and I are natives of Ogden, but we have never been to this place before. A year ago, I wanted to plan a nice date with my wife and I saw this place, it looked great and had wonderful reviews! My wife wanted to go somewhere else that evening, so we did. She recently told me she wanted to try either here or The Timber Mine. We love being outside and Wild West things. We just decided a couple hours before and checked to see if there were any open reservations. There was! On a Friday evening! And within the next 45 minutes! This was an amazing choice, a fantastic combination of class, great tasting food, ambiance, service, and feeling. Our waiter, Parker, was excellent! He was very professional and had a great smile on and wonderful sense of humor! The food was incredible! We got the Sampler appetizer with fried mushrooms, onion rings, and wings. I enjoy wings, but these were amazing! Perfectly flavored and crispy! My wife got the ribs and they fell off the bone and were delicious! I just got the classic burger and it was also very delicious! We heard their unique Birthday song and thought it was fun and clever! Overall, this is a fantastic place to eat and experience, especially if you are just visiting!
We went here last night for my bf and daughter's birthday dinner. Everything's great, great service(fast, attentive and helpful), great food, big portions from appetizers, main course and free ice cream. Price are compatible with the portion.. Different ambience, feels like eating in countryside. Our server, Sarah, was very attentive and provide description of the menu and specials. Thank you for having us and we'll look forward to coming back.
Went here for our Valentine's Dinner a few days before the holiday. It was our first visit. It was expensive but the atmosphere was FUN and the food tasted amazing! My filet mignon was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our server was super busy but still managed to keep our drinks refilled and got us everything we needed. He also had a great sense of humor! Definitely recommend trying if you've never been.
We absolutely love dining in this establishment! Great food but most notably the treatment we receive. Michelle is the best and most hospitable manager there is! We have NEVER had a problem, and I’m really baffled that there can be any negative comments here. All I say is that sometimes in life you really need to ask yourself if you are not, in fact, the problem. It has been nothing but great service, and why we continue to return on a regular basis. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!!! :)
Nice place that seems to be *a bit more homely*. Waiters are nice. Food is nice, if not expensive. But remember where you are. Would recommend.
