Only ate here once for 2 people on a Saturday. For sure reserve as it's basically just the only way you're ever gonna eat here since their opening hours are so restricted. It seems to be run by 2 people, assuming "Mom and Pop". It was just them so you'll have to be patient with service. We sort of got our orders out of order (green tea came mid dinner and my partners plate came 10 minutes later than mine). Also, I am afraid to say that their "Takeout" service negatively affected our "Dine-in" experience. There was several people just standing around near the door for pickup which made the very small dining area almost suffocating. With so many pickup orders, the owners obviously were rushed and extremely busy.As for food, I do not recommend the Sashimi plate. It was previously frozen and it was super watery and flavorless.I really would love to support this local family owned restaurant but I think focusing on Dine in than take out would be better.

The best udon I've ever had! This restaurant is owned by the most humble Japanese older couple. Seating is limited and RESERVATIONS ARE RECOMMENDED! They may take walk-ins but there's only 4 tables so you should just call ahead and reserve a table otherwise you may not get in. They were kind enough to seat me and my sisters but we had a time limit. After they seated us, they declined everyone who walked through because they were booked solid with reservations for the night so I was surprised they seated us, but we took it and we had no regrets!Just as an fyi, scan the QR code on the paper menu for pics and descriptions of the food. The tempura was cooked perfectly and the meat in the beef udon was smoked and tender! I'd love to go back and try their ramen as well (served on Saturdays for lunch). This time, we'll make reservations so we don't stress them out and we could take some more time.I loved the restaurant building architecture, simple but beautiful interior, and even the calming music! It felt like I was back in Japan, especially with the elderly couple cooking and serving food. I'll be sure to be back to pay another visit and eat. My sisters and I loved the whole experience so much.

Kind owners that make great tasting food. The exterior and interior ambiance is nice. I’ve been here for dinner and once for ramen Saturday’s, never disappointed about anything. The Yakiniku is tasty and savory, reminds me eating a thoughtfully meal cooked at home. The large size tonkatsu has a good amount of noodles and the pork is very tender. Vegetable tempura is light and fresh, the sushi is great tasting as well. Be sure to call ahead to make a reservation for your group. This place is great, give it a try.

Outstanding sushi quality. The menu Is very reflective of what you would eat in Japan. Very cozy and great service. My spot for great sushi in Utah

My girlfriend and I went out for a date here and everything was phenomenal. The atmosphere was great, our food came out in a timely manner and we left happily smiling ?. We will certainly be back again!

Love love love the food. The environment is so cozy and lovely. Very Japanese Mom&Pop type of eating place. Remind me very much of places I went to in Japan. Highly recommended. Will come back when we get back in town. Arigatou gozaimasu .

This place is amazing. I love eating in Japan. This is the closest experience to that I've found in the SLC area. Amazing ramen, smooth, rich broth, the right balance of flavours. Can't wait to go back!

If you haven't been to Hamamaru in Ogden, you're missing out! This small, family owned, diamond in the rough is well worth the wait. Be sure to make a reservation and try their amazing sashimi, katsu curry, and tempura dinner. With the pandemic, we pre-ordered food over the phone which was ready shortly after sitting down for our reservation. ?

Best sukiyaki under $20 you’ll ever eat.
