We enjoyed a casual business lunch recently at El Paisa. One of us had the taco bar (it’s huge and varied) and two of us split the Molcajete Suprema, which was a mistake, as it would easily feed 3-4 with some extra tortillas. Pretty dang tasty. The beef in particular was excellent, but the other meats (chicken, shrimp) as well. Excellent service for our visit. The manager, Luis Nunez, is a great guy. Welcomed us personally.
Food was good but not quite the quality I would expect from what appears to be an up scale restaurant. My wife’s chicken taco salad had dried out meat and stale taco shell bowl. My chimichanga was good. The music was way too loud to have a conversation with my wife and we both walked out with head aches. We were not impressed to return here.
Recently went to dinner here with my two daughters. What a fun evening! Our waitress was so friendly and quick to get our order. The menu was full of so many good items, it was hard to choose. Our food was delicious and very flavorful. Generous portions made it well worth the money. As I watched waitresses go by with other customers dishes, it made me excited to go back again, to try other menu items. We enjoyed the live entertainment and the karaoke. Great music choices! Made for such a great time.
The chips and salsa, and our burrito and tacos were really good and full of flavor. The sides such as beans, rice, and salad were not as great. They just lacked in flavor but the main dishes were awesome. The main reason I have rated it 3 stars instead of 5 is because of the service. We got our waters in the beginning, but then after waiting about 15 minutes we stopped a different waitress because our waiter was no where in site. She said she was going to find him for us. After another 10 minutes, we stopped yet a different waiter and he ended up taking our order. Our original waiter finally came back to our table but we told him we already ordered. Our chips and salsa were refilled which was nice but our drinks were never filled and it took a long time to get our check and then it took a while to get our card back. Overall, the food was good and we want to try it again, but the service was very slow. The tables next to us were getting helped and we had to stop two other waiters before our order was finally taken.
Not vegetarian friendly. There was a not a section on the menu for who are looking for vegetables such as squash and zucchini in the fajitas or Quesadilla. Ordered the nachos and had them replace the meat with black beans. I had to explain several times that I do not eat meat. The nachos had: melted shredded cheese (that I could have done at home), black beans and onions. No lettuce, diced tomatoes or salsa. It was blan with no flavoring. I gave 3 stars because the food was not good or accommodating to vegetarians, but rated higher because there was a mariachi band that was playing.
Good customer service to all the personnel
The food was delicious! Definitely will be going back again.
For a Saturday night, this restaurant had a very fun atmosphere. They had live entertainment, and it is a great place to have a good time. Unfortunately, the food here really lacks appeal, and comes with a very high price tag. The menu is nicely put together with some great Mexican dishes, but their prices are higher than what you would expect to see. With higher prices, the expectation is high quality food, and what comes to the table is disappointing. It's clear their kitchen is in need of professional assistance. As an employer in this state I understand the struggle right now to find experienced personnel (2/12/22) , but if that is what they are struggling to find, they need to revise their prices and slim down their menu, and only serve what the kitchen can deliver on. The hits. I ordered the steak and shrimp tonight, and received an extremely over cooked and dry dish. It's hard to mess up shrimp, so it was quite unfortunate to see what was plated and passed off to the server. I would recommend Beto's drive through Mexican restaurant before recommending this location. El Paisa is succeeding with the good atmosphere, live music, very friendly staff, bright and shiny lights, but the food needs work.
Good food and great live music!
Pretty good. Has an all you can eat taco bar for about $15. Atmosphere is nice as well. Looks like it has a stage for bands to play and a bar. I went for lunch so neither were in use.
