This is the best sushi in town ! I am a frequent diner here & appreciate the great friendly service. Rod the Manger is amazing & makes you feel so welcome ! The sushi is always fresh & tasty. Skip the rest & enjoy the best !
Some of the worst food I have ever had. Tried 6 different dishes and 4 of the 6 were literally inedible. The fish was bad, the steak was very chewy and none of the food had any flavors. The service was good but would strongly recommend not going to this restaurant.
Last time I ate at Tsunami (different location) was years ago and I wasn't impressed with their food. Came back here the other day with friends for a special occasion and I feel like there wasn't much improvement. I ordered Katsu which is ok but the rice that came with it is a little bit hard or could be undercooked. The service and ambience is good but hopefully they will put an effort to improve their food quality too.
Tsunami is always one of my favorite date night haunts. Union heights is a great space with awesome service and chefs who know exactly what they’re doing. The food at any tsunami location is consistently good, and it is especially so at this location. I always end up wanting to order more even when I’m completely full. Our server was very sweet and quick. We were seated maybe two or three minutes after arrival as well. Just a well run and delicious restaurant. My favorite sushi in Utah hands down.
Great restaurant. Lovely food and impeccable staff. I would totally recommend!
If I could give it no stars I would. Service was good but that was it. Couldn't choke down the drinks, the sushi tasted old and chewy and even the katsu chicken dinner was terrible. Quiet frankly the whole meal was inedible. We would have been better off with a beer and store bought sushi.
Delicious sushi! Their executive roll was fantastic and the server was very friendly.The Chicken katsu was also great!
Great sushi rolls at a reasonable price. The service was very friendly, but she could have checked in on us a little more. It took like 15 minutes just to get her attention so we could get the check, but it doesn't knock it down a star because I'm a reasonable person who understands that busy restaurants are busy. Great date night and I will be returning.
Extremely disappointed I have been a VIP points member with Tsunami and have spent thousands of dollars over the years. Recently, had family from out of state and said, you have to try this place. It’s awesome. Recognizing they are under staffed, I waited the 1 hour for pick up. Showed up only to wait an additional 30 min. I asked multiple times if my order was ready. They said not yet. It took an hour and 40 min to get my order in total Tonight, I called to give them a second chance. Last time must have been a fluke. I was told they aren’t doing take out because they are too busy. I guess I should be thankful they didn’t take my order and make me wait. I called the south Jordan store and was 2nd in que. waited 19 min on hold only to finally get a live person and discover it would be a 90 min wait for order. Love your Sushi but will discover other great spots like Sapa, Takashi and others.
We had reservations when we got there they told us to wait ..so we waiting and waiting for 15-20 minutes then other people walked in after us and the host just give them table right away! Not to mention it was a much LARGER group. It really made me angry so at point we decided to just leave because we no longer felt welcomed and felt pushed to the side. We did speak to the new manager who didn’t seem to care at all.respectful do better please!
