This place is exactly what you would expect with a miners coal cart sitting outside the entrance... The food is good and hot and they get your egg order correct. There is nothing fancy on the menu but good old fashioned breakfast is my favorite. Although my wife is on a no carb and no sugar diet which works well for but the challenge was hard to meet...We still had a great time in a friendly little cafe just off the freeway.......

Was my first time here and heard good things from my husband so was excited to try. However, the menu seemed pretty limited as far as menu items. All the pasta choices only had 1 sauce, marinara. Most dinners are just basic meat and potato items and sandwiches. The potatoes were very bland and the corn was mushy. The steak tasted burnt. We waited a VERY long time for our food to come out plus our food was sitting on the counter for about 10 minutes before our waitress brought it out. Not only that but 2 of the food items were wrong. I will not be coming here again.

Nice diner with good prices. They have been around since 1985 but the vibe is older to go with the old mining town theme, which I enjoyed. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy but not too crowded and no wait for a table for 4. It didn't look like there were many booths in the restaurant if that matters to you. There is some seating at the counter as well. The service was pretty good overall. We had to wait a bit for refills (a large group came in so I think that was part of it) and bit longer for the check but otherwise no issues. They were very accommodating of requests/changes to the dishes when ordering.I got the sirloin steak lunch special and it was pretty good especially for the money. I really liked the mashed potatoes and the cooked carrots as well as the scones. My friend's mom ordered chicken fried steak and wasn't a fan of the gravy (it was not typical country gravy) but she liked it otherwise. Portion sizes were generous. Definitely would go back and try the French dip and would like to try their breakfast items.

The food was not bad, had the salmon. It was served quickly and by a friendly waitress but the cook was a loudmouth whose every other word was the "f" word as he talked with the male server. We won't be back.

great food and good customer service...

Great food and portions! Cool memorabilia all around the Cafe gives it a great vibe. We were in area to ski, and ate breakfast here before heading to the airport. Nice place to eat!

Great food and service. They have a great variety of options and serve lunch and breakfast up until 5:00. Great scones too! There's even a vegetarian burger which is pretty good.

I had the roast beef dinner. The mashed potatoes are instant, sticker and have an odd taste...I guess it's the taste of not real. The roast beef is not melt in your mouth as advertised, more like chewy. The service is great though. Fast and friendly.

This cafe is good not GREAT...They have scones that are like. 50% doughy and needs to be deep fried longer...and food was warm nit hot like it say on a plate for 10 min before serving..i say this kuz I have experience in food service ....not knocking the place however they need to pick it up and pay attention to the small details

Love love love.Excellent service, good old home town diner feel. Lots of regular customers talking to each other. Old timers at the bar, families in the booths. Love it.I took my kids. This time, we got chicken fried steak, double burger and french toast. The hot chocolate was the perfect balance of sweet, creamy, and chocolate. The French Toast creamed butter was amazing,The chicken fried steak was tender and flavorful. The burger was great, and served with real potatoes. Our server, Cristy, was personable, professional, pleasant, and polite.HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
