I went to A Bar Named Sue to listen to some friends play at the bar. The sound was amazing and the people were friendly and welcoming. The staff is good, but they could do with 1-2 more cocktail waitresses. That being said, the service was good and not below par. The staff was able to handle everything with what they had without inconveniencing their customers. I had a great time.
We had a great time. Visited with a bunch of my friends from Idaho. The staff was AMAZING and we appreciated the cleanliness! Would definitely recommend and go back. Also the Johnny Cash paintings were so cool!
Hadn't been here in years. But we made plans to go with a small group to get dinner and drinks. Super laid back and chill. Staff were all friendly. We ended up not being able to get a pool table. Food was great. Some fun spins on typical bar food but all done very well. Garlic and rosemary fries were my fav.
Great good, amazing staff. I like the sues chicken salad, or the turkey sandwich. Grilled cheese is good too! Beer by the pitcher is the best value. Laid back vibe, pool tables, shuffle board, and a small stage. Smoking patio facing state street. Well lit parking lot.
Was very crowded and could not find a table inside. The bar tenders were very friendly and quick! The drinks were super good as well. Would recommend and come again!
An excellent hidden gem for Brunch. Cocktails are on point and food is good. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the gravy was delicious. The potatoes were overcooked, but I don't eat them anyways, so no stars off for that.
We needed a restaurant without a 45 minute wait for dinner on a Friday night AND a good alcohol selection. My brother in law suggested this bar. I was skeptical about the food but went along since I knew I could get a shot and a beer. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised. The food won't win any awards for creativity but, as bar food goes, it was very good. The 'Big Sue' burger was cooked perfectly, the toppings were all fresh and worked very well together. The onion rings were super crispy, just the way I like them. And their selection of whiskey and beer offers plenty of variety. My only gripe was the service. At a table of 8, our server forgot 3 of the beers from our initial drink order. After about 5 minutes we reminded her and she apologized - but then forgot them again for another 10 minutes. After a second reminder, the beers finally showed up. Similarly, one person's food showed up within about 5 minutes of ordering. The remaining 7 meals came out 20 minutes later. I wasn't expecting a fine dining experience but, typically, everyone should eat dinner around the same time. So, to summarize: good food and drink, spotty service.
10/10 I'm a Bar Named Sue fan. The right style of bar for me, pool, darts, trivia. Damn good spicy bloody on a Sunday morning. Spent many late after work sessions here commiserating with friends and the drinks were plentiful
Great place for some beer and a good time. They have 3 pool tables an area to dance in and a decent sized stage for karaoke. I went for new years and had a lot of fun althoughit was very crowded, but that easily could have just been because it was new years. The bartender where also very kind and friendly to me. 10/10 would recommend!
This bar has such a warm relaxing vibe! Clean spacious interior with pool tables and lots of room to lounge and relax. My server was great - very friendly and helpful. Delicious cocktails, and the nachos are incredible!! Wow.
