Every time we've visited Black Pearl we have always enjoyed ourselves. The food and sushi is always delicious, we especially love the honey walnut chicken/shrimp.Additionally we are working our way through the sushi menu and have yet to find something we dislike.Occasionally they get our order wrong which is the only reason for the less than perfect rating, but on the whole I would absolutely recommend this place.
I ordered on door dash super late before closing late, which is something I try to avoid doing cus I know how much it sucks. I will be honest tho the wonton soup I ordered was genuinely delicious. Vegetable broth is usually really watered down around here but I could smell the veggies coming from the veggie broth. I was met with an array of perfectly cooked green veggies and adorable plump mushrooms floating at the top. That was the highlight of my meal and day truly. Thank y’all for being so awesome!
Good price, decent cashew chicken. Just okay sushi.
Got to the restaurant at 7 pm. It wasn’t super busy or full and we waited 30 minutes just to be seated due to the host/cashier ringing out take out orders. When he finally got to us it took him less than a minute to seat us because it was empty. It took him another 40 minutes to take our order. I had to get up and find him, I’m pretty sure he forgot about us. Overall my experience was bad and I left super irritated. Won’t be returning.
I've had consistently good experiences here. Good food, a few vegan options including a couple vegan veg rolls. Great service, quick delivery. Good portion sizes. I like the Buddha Delight and the Kung Pao Tofu. I also get the Thai yellow curry; it's good but does taste like it's made by a Chinese restaurant (rather than a Thai restaurant). Spring rolls are like a fried egg roll with veg only.
Has a nice variety of sushi items online but insanely rude customer service. The line was packed when I entered the shop and many people waiting in line had nowhere to even stand waiting for their meal. They placed way too many orders with no way to deliver on time. They lost my meal number I placed online and never got back to me. The menu options appeared decent, but the customer service is close to rotten. If you 'must' eat here, then just ask for delivery. It might be a longer wait but don't waste your time dining in here or even asking to pick it up. I; however, will not be ordering here again.
Happy to share that they have a gluten free sushi menu! Had 17 rolls to choose from which was nice.The sushi was delicious and I will be coming back. Featured in the pictures: mango mango roll, Mexico roll, and the spicy roll. I also tried the Alaska and yellowtail jalapeño traditional rolls. I liked the yellowtail more out of those two. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Used to be outstanding. Not anymore. So disappointed in quality. Food was not the same.
I had a take out order. The hot and sour soup was horrible as was the wonton soup. I ordered pot stickers and they were hard and greasy. I will never go back
Went there with workmates today. If you order from the lunch menu it seems to be good food for a good price. I ordered from the sushi lunch special portion. The rolls were okay at best. They just threw three rolls on a plate.The plating was disgusting with no Wasabi or pickled ginger. I asked if I could order two rolls of the lunch special and one off the normal menu and pay the difference. I guess I offended the server and got told no in a rude way and penalized with the condiments and plating. They literally would have made more money. So, the food is good depending on if you don't ask any questions.
